I've been in two meetings already this morning. Let the preparations begin.

Damn, we're on the dirty side of this one. Here's the link to NHS

Eek, and I mean eek!

The storm surge numbers are very scary.

Best to you folks.

If anyone is headed North and needs a spot to safely leave a trailer, RV, etc. I have a very large yard and plenty of mostly tree free areas. Center of state, so no flood or surge worries, etc.

Few miles from intersection of I-75 and US441 in Alachua.

Thinking of Baz and Byron. I hope she flames out by the time she reaches your area.

It appears that she will be far north of us, thankfully.

Thanks, Paul. Looks like we will be OK here in NSB but it's headed right into Byron and the other Paul......

Might change course - some time left - we'll see......

Byron has been posting on other threads, and dealing with other things. Jax might get bad (rain & wind), but the Gulf side is the real "danger zone" with the projected "storm surge", wind, flooding, etc. And the Gulf temps are gonna fuel this even more ... it's gonna be bad.

She's gonna pummel all of the western side .... from bottom to top ... moving at 8 mph... hopefully it doesn't stall and keeps on the projected path ...

But you know this Baz

Stay safe everyone!

Jim Cantore hit Gainesville yesterday and is over in Cedar Key today.

Which is about 10 miles from where I go fishing most weekends (Shell Mound, in the corner of the Lower Suwannee Wildlife Refuge)
