47 years ago today I married my Loving Wife
I married my loving wife . Man where has the time gone ! We are a team that have powered through the ups and downs of life . I couldn't be happier .

Not trying to be disrespectful, but why not title the thread "47 years ago today I married my loving wife"? Would provide a little more insight into the thread topic. Just my 2 cents.....congrats again - that's a hell of a milestone!

Congrats, Where were you on your anniversary in 94?

Well " someone " altered the thread title ( thanks hawk )
. I was excited just to wake up with a pulse  . We married young , I was 20 and we dated for almost 2 years prior to . It just felt right and here we are . I still buy her flowers every anniversary and we always go out to dinner . She picks the restaurant and we split the bill . It's worked for 47 years and counting . Thanks guys

Congratulations! I hope there are many more happy years to come. The folks who understand marriage can be work sometimes are the folks who seem to make it the longest.
My dad used to say We've been happily married .... years and out of .... total, that ain't too bad.

True story . A couple of weeks ago we were talking about us coming up on the 47 year anniversary . My wife blurts out " we should probably stay together " . We both had a good chuckle .

To finish this out last night we went to the local seafood restaurant . We both had great meals and then shared a cheesecake dessert . We always share a cheesecake dessert on our anniversary . It has become our thing

Congratulations !!! It's so nice to hear about successful and happy relationships. I also feel lucky. My wife & I are coming up on thirty years together and forty years of knowing each other, and that's with a 25 years difference in our ages. Out of all the women I've been through, I never thought I'd meet one I'd experience a happy and thoroughly enjoyable life with. I tell her I wouldn't trade her for a billionaire starlett, and it's the truth.
