I've had more duds than gems with them, even buying the 10 ply.

Time to go with some highway tread for the truck.

One word for off road tire... "Coopers".

Years ago I ran a full sized SUV across remote South Australia for work. And I mean proper desert. Sealed roads out there are very rare. Think big rocks and gravel, mud, ruts for miles, whatever. In more than 8 years on the road I never had one issue related to tires.

From Coppers Australia web site.

I chipped a set of bfg ko2 and they would not warranty them. Coopers sound nice, but I'm don't think they warrant the premium. I'll run off brand 10 ply tires and chain up if the mud/snow gets too bad. This truck will eat a set of tires in 20,000 miles.
