Stock is trading at a PE of 77 times. Not sure I would want to be holding Tesla at this high of a valuation. CEO is in outer space most days, if he says something foolish, someone drops a lawsuit, or a skeleton falls out of his closet the stock will tank. It's just a matter of time.

normies under the age of 50ish or so, telsa says money and luxury to them, in a way mercades and lexus and BMW doesnt though. that makes the brand worth something even when the cars are made like garbage.

as soon as there is a reasonably available fast charging network open to other cars ... tesla is going to tank hard. its the only thing they have going for them.

Didn't this already happen? Tesla chargers are the new standard now?

there is a lot of drama here. the user experience of plug car in, receive fast charge is not that simple.

chargers sometimes dont connect properly, require payment methods that arnt standardized, dont charge as fast as they need to etc ...

its not as simple as a USB ... when it is though ... there is no real reason to buy a tesla anymore.

I can see Tesla succeeding by contracting out the grunt work. Leave the manufacturing of vehicles to someone like Magna, or Stellantis.

Make your money on drive trains, software, charging, and subscriptions. Oh, and AI.

You read some really meaningless stuff.
The original IPO of Tesla is a measuring stick, or means anything?
No, it isn't and it doesn't.
But I think we all know your real motivation
for posting that.

Quote:
Tesla's initial public offering (IPO) was on June 29, 2010, when the company offered 13.3 million shares at $17 each.
Since then, Tesla has done two forward stock splits: a 5-for-1 split on Aug. 31, 2020, and a 3-for-1 split on Aug. 25, 2022.
This means that the split-adjusted IPO price is about $1.13 per share..
Tesla's stock closed at around $300 on Nov. 21, 2022.
Just in case someone wants to know a REAL number:
TSLA
% OF FLOAT SHORTED
2.97%

Which is actually low for a stock
like this one with so much volatility.
