If you like the nostalgia thing, and you want an old Volvo, go for it. I'm sure it will be a reliable solid car.

But the reality is an 850 wagon is a far superior car (IMO), even a 7-series wagon is a lot better.

Yeah Fred - I'm not sure how far that is away but at least it's in the same state! I didn't think you'd want one this nice, anyway. I think you were looking for a bit of a beater that you could rat rod, maybe.....

For me not being a mechanic.....getting something that does NOT need any work is a blessing!

Absolutely. And I didn't realize how much I'd APPRECIATE that until I got my 850!

I still love the 145s wagons and wouldn't mind owning another one day but would have to have space in a garage for it - something in short supply right now.

Nothing against 245's...I just love the sound of those side draft carbs on the 145s'!
