One of my prouder man card achievements is going through 3 grinders and several sets of brushes over 20+ years, a Craftsman, then 2 Dewalts, now on a Metabo which I'm not really keen on mostly because of the locking mechanism is cumbersome.

Those and 2 sawzalls cut up 13 911s back when then was such a thing a 911 parts car, selling good sheetmetal here on Classifieds so nothing went to waste. I surgically cut the entire parcel shelf and rear seats and sold it to Restoration Design so they could make a die to press a one piece unit.

Nice over the years iv collected 6 or 7 milwaukees that iv had to mix and match parts over the years to keep them going. They all have different tools on them so rarely have to change ends. Then I got a dewalt and a few cheapos that are kinda the first ones i grab now. The dewalt is lighter and a little smaller so its just that much easier to handle. The brushes last forever on the dewalts too I think the milwaukee brushes have too much spring pressure they wear out quicker. The only one I burnt up was the first grinder I ever had it was a porter cable. Maybe it was the teenager in me abusing it I dont know.
