Hitchcock Movie - On Netflix

I watched the movie "Hitchcock" this weekend. What a great movie! Alfred Hitchcock was played by Anthony Hopkins, and he did such a good job that I couldn't tell if it was actually Anthony Hopkins until I read it in the credits. Helen Merium played Mrs. Hitchcock and Scarlet Johansson played Janet Lee.

Without giving away the movie, it was about Alfred Hitchcock's struggle to get Psycho made. Being as this was in the 50's, the movie house Paramount, and censors resisted such a terrifying movie (for its era).

If it hadn't been midnight when it was over, I would have watched it again.

It's on Netflix until July 31st.

+ one. Ive been a Hitchcock fan since I was about 10 years old. Psyho and The Birds were my friends. Rear Window was probably my favorite.

Just finished it- an interesting story with a good cast. What a character Alfred was. The ending was great!

Joseph Stefano was mentioned in the movie, as he adapted the book into the script for Psycho. I remember seeing his name prominently in the credits for The Outer Limits as a writer and producer during the first season. He left the show due to exhaustion and network interference. I can imagine that- what a wild show that was for its day. Ralph Macchio played Stefano in the movie- I didn't realize it was him. He looked a lot like him in the day.
