I heard that Cadillac sells more cars with a clutch pedal and a standard shift that automatics.

Corvettes are all automatics. If you want a manual gear box the vette is not for you.

I think they're interesting mostly because they are available with a third pedal. After that, the engine while wonderful is well known. Similar to the CTS-V, designers seem to have run out of money or time or both..they're not entirely ugly but they're not exactly beautiful either. The reviews have them as pretty good handlers. Really nice cars but probably not awesome when there is so much awesome for sale.

I like these cars. For me, the middle sedan or the middle SUV would be the play.

Who is OWP?

The lines remind me of the Holden I drove for three weeks in Australia a couple of years back.

Powerful car. Checks most of the performance boxes. Except one: weight.

That car tips the scales at just over 4,000 lbs! That is one heavy puppy, given that lots of performance oriented cars are in the 3000 lb range.

The car may go fast in the a straight line, but there's no way of getting around that weight when it comes to turning.

I also am not a big fan of sedans. There are folks who need a sedan for various reasons, and logistically, they can't have both a sedan and a performance oriented coupe. So this car may be a good compromise. But for me, lose the back doors, shed some weight, and then maybe... until then, I'll pass...

Total car whore that shared his explorations and experimentations with all of us. A kid at heart and fun to read.

Car and Driver loves these cars.
They did say that other than the great seats...the interior was too plasticky and reminded them of a cheap car.

Rare for them to rave about a GM product.

4000 isn’t that much for what the car is, when a Mazda 3 can weigh as much as 3400.

The only big and powerful sedan that I’ve driven (well, other than an E39 M5 a million years ago) is a Chevy SS, and I was really impressed with how that car hid its weight on the Angeles Crest Highway. I’d expect at least as much out of these Cadillacs.

Most compelling interesting and desirable large sports sedan on the market today. Bmw porsche alfa etc should take note.

Rwd, 6mt, interesting colors, recaros...great suspension and tuning.

Had an A8 a while back - the 4.0TT version.
Big car. Drove like a small one. Went like a bat out of hell.
Don’t discount this because it’s not a shoebox.

If new(ish) high performance sedan were the order and a CT5V BW didn't get it, where would people pay their money and why?
