The 128 was nice. However, I believe the term when describing looks; Nice personality.

Okay, to you it's ugly. To me it's handsome.
My family's second car in 1971 was a two door SEAT 128 (Spanish FIAT). I adored that car. Probably because my 18 YO brother drove like a Group B rally driver whenever he'd take me to swim team practice.

Baring an Aztec being posted, I second the motion.

My ‘76 four door Nova. Green Metallic with the green Landau top, green interior. Hated that car but, got a cheap deal on it from my Grandparents.

Don’t have any digital pictures of it.

Oldsmobile Starefire- bought it for my winter beater. Ugly and had a broken driver’s door handle- also an automatic, but it got the job done.

Nah, the Aurora isn't that bad. The one pictured just needed some nice wheels.

We custom ordered it from the factory. It would lose power on the freeway and begin to buck like a bucking bronco. The only way to regain power was to turn on the heater full blast which somehow helped the situation.

It is amazing I never got rear ended or killed.

LOL! i had a 1981 Olds Omega, same car. 2.5L Iron Duke motor (unless you had the 2.8L 60º V-6). I never had the problem you did. It would barely get out of its own way, and it blew the front seal on the tranny, otherwise slow, ugly, and relatively reliable appliance.

Ours was also a '76 with the 1.4L 52hp motor in cream with faux wood stickers. I think you're a close second (technically, this started out as my mom's).

Ours didn't have a luggage rack, but otherwise looked like this one.

My mom had a '78 Horizon. They had VW 1.7L motors/trans. When I was in college, I had an '80 Omni and an '81 Omni, both, also with the 1.7L VW motor.

I also had a Mercury Sable that looked pretty much like this one. I believe it was a 1988 or 89. It was a total piece of junk. Can't believe I paid money for it. My BIL, who was and still is a car dealer, talked me out of buying a late 80s Nissan Maxima for this POS. His logic: the Nissan has 70k on the clock, by the time you pay it off it will have well over 100k. Hmmm, just saw a similar Maxima last week and it was still going strong. Bad choice

^those taurus/sables^ were horrible. We never owned one, and there was a reason.

I've owned a few uglies. Not this specific car but same year and model Honda.

https://images.ctfassets.net/c9t6u0q...maryImage.jpeg

Also had a Dodge Omni for a spell.

Oh, that’s easy…http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1699395549.jpg

VINMAN 11-07-2023 03:06 PM

I had the identical twin to this fugly thing. AMC Eagle

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1699401439.jpg

Another I'd rank up there was my 924. Always thought it was void of any style or character.

Dixie 11-07-2023 03:18 PM

Honestly, I'd appreciate if y'all would indicate if you bought your ugliest car, or your parents did?

I've got this theory it's not the car, but who did the deciding.
