What was the ugliest vehicle you've owned?

Mine was a Oldsmobile Aurora, ug-ga-ly on the outside, kind of like a spaceship on the inside, but definitely got out of its own way. I guess I was ug-ga-ly streaking down the Highway LOLhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/lol2.gifhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1699365252.jpg

I don't think I have ever owned an ugly car.

Since 1970 I have only owned 5 cars in my lifetime, first was a 60 VW Bug, then a 73 Bug, My 74 914, my El Camino and my 911. VW Bugs were usually called cute, the 914 was hated by some, but I think it looks great, and everyone loves my 911. I had a guy just this week that really loved my El Camino.

I had a cow poop green 1970 Dodge Dart 2 door, scant 6 and 3 on the tree.
It was not ugly enough to be cute or interesting. It was unremarkably plain, boring, and ugly.

'63 Plymouth Valiant 4-door, 193" tower-of-power, 3 on the tree, painted baby blue with a brush by the previous owner.

I've never owned what i considered to be an ugly car. The least visually-pleasing was undoubtedly an '87 Subaru wagon - door stop with wheels that couldn't get out of its own way but was certainly utilitarian and served its purpose.

An old rusty 70's Plymouth Valiant I paid $75 for when in college in the late 80's. It was ugly as sin but served me well for about a year while in college and delivering pizzas as a part time job. I truly don't remember when or how I got rid of it. I remember the front suspension was starting to collapse on one side due to rusting body attach points, but for some reason I can't remember if I drove it to a junk yard or if I sold it to some other poor bastard.

Every other car I have ever owned, I remember what eventually happened to.... not this one though. LOL

Peugeot 304. Parts were a problem.

Hmmm, good question. I briefly owned a Pontiac Sunbird in the late 80’s…can’t remember the year, but I’m going with that one. Everything else I’ve owned I don’t think I could call ugly…

I also had a ‘65 beetle that I bought for $75….virtually no paint, interior and floor pan was shot, but it got me where I needed to go. And it was a bug, so….still not ugly IMO. Actually ran great….didn’t have a key, used a screwdriver to start it.

I recently learned from some aesthetic design experts here that the EVs I've had are all ugly as sin. Perhaps sour grapes, I dunno. I did recently sell an '87 Mirai, which was okay from the front and hideous from the back. It looked like some Prius' ugly brother. People used to pass me just to get in the gap in the road in front of me, even though it accomplished nothing with all the cars still ahead. I think it was more the hatred of the Prius. I got to drive it for 55,000 miles with $0 spent on fuel, so it was a useful commuter. I would have gotten the much improved newer one, but there's no hydrogen stations where I currently live or work, so it's not practical. Not mine, but looks the same:

Not mine, but I had its twin.

Face only a mother could love, but i really enjoyed that car. 300hp turbo charged econobox felt like a rocketship in 2004.......now that is just a regular commuter car

New White Ford Taurus wagon that started rusting the day I brought it home from the dealer. It just got worse until the day the driver door started on fire in the driveway, I guess the power window switch got wet, that was its last day!

1980 Pontiac Phoenix

Mine was a 1980 Pontiac Phoenix. Not the ugliest car out there but it was the most unreliable car I’ve ever owned.

We custom ordered it from the factory. It would lose power on the freeway and begin to buck like a bucking bronco. The only way to regain power was to turn on the heater full blast which somehow helped the situation.

It is amazing I never got rear ended or killed.

Ford Windstar minivan.

Was still doing a lot of work on the house when my first was born.

I didn’t feel comfortable putting her in the front seat of my Ford Ranger (jump seats in the extra cab) so I bought a POS Windstar until the big work was completed.

Silver 86 Tercel wagon or red 78 LTDII. Either qualify. And, briefly, an unfinished Bradley GT. Don't even want to post pictures...

Believe it or not, of all the things left on my wife's bucket list is a Chevette Scooter 2-door. The Scooter was the most bare-bones model offered. I don't even think it had a back seat. That was her first car in high school. I've been looking for one for some time. Surprisingly, of all those they made, very few are still around. Specifically 2-door, manual trans.

Sadly, it might be my 996....or my Pontiac Ventura.
