This is the best thing for dealing with vapor recovery collars. I made my own out of a piece of leftover aluminum.

We don't have those boots in MI.....how do the boots damage the paint?

What about the capless tanks?

They don't damage the paint. The plate pushes the spring loaded hood back so you can gas up your bike easier. For a guy like me with a gimpy hand it's a great aid. With it I can gas up with one hand and see the level of gas in my tank. Without it the nozzle extends too far into the tank and then I must use one hand to hold the hood back while the other uses the pump.

^^^ Ahh..I see. I've used them (the boots) before on rental cars, but never paid much attention to them.

One of the cheapest gadgets ever....the red solo cup!

No more oil running down your hand and arm while removing a filter. No more oil dribbling on engine parts before it hits the drain pan.

Just crack the filter loose with a wrench and then slip the cup over and spin it off.

I use a shaker hose instead of a funnel to fill the boat fuel tank from the jugs. I thought it was a joke when my friend suggested it but it works pretty well.

Honestly I don't know how some you guys survive out in the real world,
If ya just fill the gas tank while the mower is on the grass the lawn will absorb it

I don't have a dog...so the neighbors would blame me for the circles of dead grass.:)

I set this thing out in November and hadn't checked it until today. Two fat ones...I'll dump it and freshen up the peanut butter.:)

Keep a bag of wood golf tees in your shop. Stripped out wood screw? Cat tee with wood glue, tap in hole. Once dry, cut it off flush to have new wood to work with. Allows you to not have to use an oversized screw.

^^^ That's why I keep two 10lb fire extinguishers in the garage....in case I do something stupid. :)

If you ignite petrol in your garage, those fire extinguishers will be on the opposite lawn along with your garage door.

Looks like they've starved to death in there.

Among woodworkers, I hear about both golf tees and toothpicks (when using toothpicks, normally a few are required). I think it's also usually recommended to glue them in. The golf tee seems easier, but the toothpicks will work in different sized (depth or girth) holes more easily.

Maybe if I built a tiny life raft with some peanut butter in it. :)
At least they would survive until I get them to the vet.

Golf tees are one size. Also made of harder wood (screw tends to slip to the side into the soft stuff). It might work better with pre-drilling and gluing like an insert but I've usually had no luck using them. IDK.Whatever works.

RE: stripped wood screws, I have dowels in every size. 3 feet of 1/8" is $.0.79.

Most just run them until there's a problem.

13 years and counting, - a Honda. ....... it's become an experiment. :)

^^^ When/if it finally gives up...send Honda a testimonial. They might buy you a new mower. :D
