Wasn't Ferry quoted as saying "I don't care how you pronounce my family name as long as you buy my cars" ?

Porsche, por-shay, por-sha, or por-shay-shayy, the name says it all, and that's a good thing.

I can't stand it when I hear people say "Porsch". Makes me think of Uncle Rico posted above LOL.

New guy here. Ive been lurking here and driving my Porsh for 21 months. If I move to Germany, I'll say Porsch-uh. I am in the USA and If I buy a hotdog I dont ask for a veener either.

It's always been Porsh-sha to me. It strikes me that uneducated people pronounce it Porsh, because they just don't know any better, and drive a Chebby.

Signs of people reaching beyond their level of education by saying:

Porsh For Porsche

Exbidentially for Exponentially

Rediculous for Ridiculous

Walla for voilą

Begs the Question for Raises the Question

An older lady cutting my hair the other day saw my car (911 sc) and remarked
"That's a nice looking beetle you have there, what kind of car is that anyway?"

(We are in a small town and she really had no idea what it was)

I smiled and said "You got it right- That's EXACTLY what it is!" LOL

First time my grandpa saw the '84 M491 he thought the whale tail was the luggage rack.

There's a VW Bug (classic, not new beetle) running around town, owned by a realty co, with a tag of "poorsha"
