Most of The mainstream does not care one bit.
No skin, no thought, no draft, and dont care .
Not one bit.
It has been about 50 years since the draft was dropped and we have had a couple of generations grown up without a soldier in the household.
*No kind of soldier.
All a selfish pursuit to a 401 K and a house on the shore
It is not going to bother me when the great tribulation starts.
But some,,,- are going to be in shock.
"How did this happen!" they will scream.
In their last dying breath, oozing stupidity of a selfishly adorned life..

The plaza in front of my house has been made ready. Chairs are set and flags are raised. Soon a small crowd will gather to hear speeches and poems honoring our veterans. This celebration isn't unique to my neighborhood. It's happening in small towns and cities all across America.

Who is a veteran may surprise some. 33% of boomers, 39% of millennials, and 25% of Gen-x are veterans. 62% of all veterans are female.

I understand many returning from Vietnam feel their country abandoned them. For a moment, it probably did. But now I implore you to reevaluate your perception. It doesn't match today's America. 'Nam is over. Leave it behind. Allow us to honor you. Thank you for your service.

A day to reflect on the sacrifices made by men and women to protect our freedom and the freedom of millions around the world. Unfortunately, a fact not recognized by many enjoying these freedoms today. ( I'll leave it there before this gets PARF'd)

Veterans Day
On Veterans day I take a long pause to think about all the people I knew during my years of military service. I had many great friends and others that impacted my life in a very positive way. People not afraid to tell me what I didn't want to hear at the time, but told me anyway. All of you were those people. A good friend, cohort, and mentor that had my back and whom I could always count upon. Thank you to everyone, Officer and Enlisted, Male and Female, Army and Navy, Living and Deceased that I had the privilege to serve with for 28 years. You folks are the cream of the crop, the very essence of what makes America great.
I am forever grateful to all of you.

On Veteran’s Day my thoughts focus on other Vets and our brothers and sisters who didn’t come home.

THANK YOU to all our veterans and their families....we love and respect and above all.....are GRATEFUL for your service and sacrifice!

At Walmart earlier this week I was headed to the self-checkout and noticed a man in front of me kinda hunched over a bit wearing a ball cap and pushing his cart with a younger female escort and I was thinking to myself "That looks like a military veteran."

I went about my business and as I was finishing up they went by and I was able to see his "Honor Air" ball cap so extended my hand and said "Thank you for your service!" Boy did his face light up! Korean veteran and he proceeded to share a few stories about me in historical nature. I told him about my folks and my Mom who also took an Honor Air flight.

I see veterans every day and always make a point to connect and let them know they are loved and appreciated.

Please allow me to clarify. Both my brothers served, but my sister and I didn't. My father was a Colonel in the USAF. That was close enough to serving for me.

RIP to all vets that gave the ultimate sacrifice . And thank you to all past/current and future service men and women .
