Read anything good lately?

What are some books you've enjoyed reading recently? I'm asking because a Spotify just added a bunch of audio books.

I just finished Road Dogs by Elmore Leonard.

I read it in a day.

And I'm disappointed in myself for not savoring it a little more.

On the nightstand in various states of 'finished':

Couple of William Johnstone westerns, a Tracy Kidder nonfiction book called Rough Sleepers, a pretty dumb murder mystery called No Home For Killers by E.A.Aymar that I suspect was.a freebie from Amazon, and a novel by Beryl Bainbridge called A Quiet Life.
I'm not a very deep thinker, and I'll be the first to admit it.

Just finished Tommorow, and Tommorow, and Tommorow by Gabrielle Zevin. It was fun.

I always love Elmore Leonard.

"We Band of Angels" by Elizabeth Norman. The story of the US nurses caught on Bataan and Corregidor by the Japanese.

"Flight of Passage: A memoir". By Rinker Buck. An outstanding read. Also just finished "Trinity" by Leon Uris, another great read.
And as a Florida girl, "A Land Remembered" by Patrick Smith I think you would really enjoy Dixie

I recently reread this masterpiece...

Just finished Masters of the Air. I understand that Spielberg and Hanks will release this on Apple TV in January as a sequel to the Band of Brothers and The Pacific series chronicling more WWII hero's. I learned much about the Allied bomber devastation and the immense sacrifice, challenges and tensions between the British and US bombing approach.

Additionally, The Wright Brothers was a great non-fiction read too (same author as 1776 David McCullough). Orville saw much in his life.

Reading "Skunk Works" the story of Lockheed Corporation's development of advanced aircraft.

It's been interesting to me so far. I didn't know it at the time, but I did some BDA work on some of their stuff (I was just told to "test it.") I came across the name of one of the guys I used to work with.
It also touches on what happened to the L-1011 Tristar. I traveled in one once before they all disappeared.

"Sold on Monday" is a great read. It is a story told during the depression when families did almost anything to survive.

I spend a lot of time in the car for work. I listen to all kinds of audiobooks.

If you like fiction/fantasy:
I'm currently working through the Witcher series of books. If you like fantasy or have seen the show, the audiobooks are pretty good. The Last Wish is the first in the series.

Neil Gaiman has American Gods and the Sandman with a full cast that is really good to listen to.

Skyward by Brandon Sanderson is a good Sci/Fi audiobook

The Killing Floor by Lee Childs is really good as an audiobook.

If you like history:
What do you care what other people think? by Richard Feynman
The Girls of Atomic City by Denise Kiernan is really good about the women who processed Uranium for the atomic bomb.

If you like food history:
Ritz and Escoffier by Luke Barr

Robert Gailbraith's books about private detective Cormorant Strike are quite good.

One reason is that Robert Gailbraith is actually J.K. Rowling.
