What classic car has you tempted?

Am I the only one with this affliction? Everytime I run across a nice original old car, I want to buy it. For example, at yesterday's car show a gentleman had his '63 Starfire convertible for sale. It's was in survivor condition and looked great.

So come on, post up what classic car has recently caught your attention.

Been looking at these since recent developments. 2 owners, always garaged, never driven in battle.

When it comes to cars from the pre 80's I'm happy to let other people have them.

Rust proofing makes a difference in what I'd want to operate.

For me, I enjoy to see most anything that looks well loved and isn't a tacky resto-mod.

The Starfire...there's a guy who posts on the Bullitt Mustang board who loves the luxobarge ragtops of the 60's. Often making posts about one or the other. Pure americana designed when the freeways were open and smooth, gas was cheap, and there was no doubt that the USA was #1.

The Sherman? Perfect for cruising downtown Portland when the pro Palestine folks are demonstrating.

Hey, this could be fun...What kind of car to hope you're in if unexpectantly coming across a group of far left radical demonstrators?

BMW 2002, maybe an old 320i. I lose all sense of financial good judgment when I see a 2002 for sale.

‘69 Z-28 no question. Although it’s probably not what I remember from the old days.

It may not be in the "wrong" forum. Car obsessions can and often are a religious experience. Good vs evil.....Porsche vs Ferrari

And then of course there is the LBGTQ dilemma: The Subaru vs Miata thing.

I had a red over black early 70's Mercury Capri . Was a manual transmission with a V6 . Never should have sold it and would love to find another . Opel GT would be a consideration .

American Iron late 60's early 70's Camaro or Barracuda would scratch an itch . Or maybe a VW half cab . How about a 32 Ford hot rod . The list is endless .

I used to be tempted by almost everything. Now maybe a mid 60s Vette. Or maybe another 911E.

Best

There's two these days that I'd love to have. 1) 1974-1975 BMW 2002 with a small BMW inline six, like from a 323i and a 5-speed.

The other would be a 1966 Chevelle SS 396. I like the punky front end and tail of this year. A 427 upgrade would be welcome...

Boy howdy, I hear you. This could be the one I sold in ‘95.

I'm looking at a 97 Aero now. 270hp is easy with programming, 300 with exhaust for 10 cents on a 911 dollar. New turbo, intercooler and injectors get you 400. It's either this or a 1.8T 20V Audi motor in the Scirocco.

MG TC. I had a TD and a '36 SA Saloon. TC's were the best. But then again I like all the old flying wings, wire wheeled roadsters like Jags and Alfa's

I had a '63 Buick Skylark. Those early to mid '60's GM interiors on the Cadillac, Buick and Olds were fantastic.
