What kind of animal is this???

My Blink system recorded this animal on the bed of my truck at about 4:30 this morning. Looks like a cat, but the body and tail look too long. I’ll measure the truck later this morning to see if I can get better dimensions.

Any guesses?

That looks like a regular cat to me.

Felis catus, belonging to the genus Felis. Members of this genus are characterized by having high and wide skulls. They have short jaws, narrow ears, and retractable claws.

...In other words, it's a cat.

If the animal sits on top of stool- it's a cat.
If the cat bats the item off the stool-definitely a cat.

They usually find any elevated spot they can.....it's built into their DNA.......

It's a cat. Sometimes called a kitty, or a pussy, or a pussycat.
It'll have soft fur, big eyes with vertical slits instead of pupils that reflect light in the dark, a really limber backbone and retractable claws. Most of them have long tails like this, but some species only have a vestigial tail.

We call our cats “vehicle inspectors.” They feel the need to check over any vehicle parked here. They have a special need to thoroughly check out any freshly washed car.

I once found a mouse nest in the air box of the Corolla (put some screen in). But they'd already ripped up some of the firewall padding material.
Thankfully the wires were okay.
Started seeing some nightly visitors which looked like the above.

HA! Okay second thought. Ignore my previous advice. Do NOT put up the ladder! Take it down immediately, or put it up hoping for a younger cat woman.

Paws are too much like a domestic cat. Bobcat's would be much bigger for example.
