Ford vs. Ferrari movie

Trailer left me a little flat.

Hope the movie delivers....

Matt Damen looks terrible as Shelby. Trailer looks too much computer generated. Actor as Ken Miles looks spot on. I hope it's 1/10 as good as the real battle.

Yea Damen I struggled the most with. It did not seem like the best casting.

Matt Damon, really? He could stand to get a dialect coach, at least.

I liked the trailer. Matt wouldn't have been my first pick for Shelby but they need someone who can draw people into the cinema.

The cars and action looks great and it's a story that needed to be told.
I hope the movie does well.

(Remo Girone as Enzo Ferrari)

I don't get the casting of Matt Damon. Cooper or Hemsworth would have been better cast.

It might be fun to watch. On Netflix or Prime. Some producer in Hollywood thought that this needed to be revved up to a fast and furious level to get butts in the seats. Matt Damon would have been my last choice to play ol' Shel. I'll be surprised if this movie is a big hit, but I've been surprised before.

Looks promising. Like the Bale casting, not sure of the Damon choice. (Chris Pratt would have made a good Shelby).

Good call on Pratt. I agree, I think he would be a good choice.

Historically these movies have been either accurate (and unsuccessful in drawing an audience outside of motorsport fans), or too hollywood and basically pleasing no-one... Rush was as close as we got to pleasing both sides (thanks to Thor being in there) but I don't recall it being a huge commercial success.

The racing/crashing looks off in the trailer. Let's see.. I like Matt Damon overall (The martian was my favorite movie of the decade) but agree they should have picked someone else for Shelby...

An actor named Timothy Olyphant might have done a good Shelby.

Give him a little minute to show his stuff. I wonder what Jimmy Kimmel's thoughts are?

Here is Shelby in 1966 at approx 43 years of age.

yes he would, I can think of a number who would have been better than Mr Damon, maybe he is a producer or something.

I don’t go to the movies often. I’ll go to this and I might even go opening day.
