Ferrari got lucky... (not sainz)
I don't think they have a chance for the constructor championship though, and in the long run that gives them more aero time than McLaren for 2025, no ? Doohan looks like he's gonna be "Flavio-tested" at Abu dhabi - in a way that's kinda nuts because Ocon scored the points that brought alpine ahead of their direct rivals. Then again he's been nowhere since. Same car ? given the rumors that Doohan was gonna get replaced before 2025 began, in favor of Colapinto, that sorta makes sense. The Aussie gets a race, and he better prove himself, or else I can see an argentina flag already... He should be on the sim tonight ;-) I have to say given how BAD Alpine was mid season this turnaround is remarkable. |

Well that was the stupidest race control I’ve ever seen. How can a mirror on the straight not be a safety issue?!
Anyway boring race, congrats to Zhou ![]() Alonso was hilarious in his radio frustration, Hamilton quit right after the green and Max tattled on Lando from first place, one more race left, let’s hope the top three teams actually race for the Championship. I hope Haas gains back the position as well.

The mentioned the budget "cap" is 135 million per team. The constructor championship win brings a prize of 140 million. That is a lot of hard work for 5 million with a team of hundreds of employees.

It is a whole lot easier to retrieve on piece/part rather than a scattered bunch of debris that is much harder to remove.

Rumors are starting to come out that Perez will retire after Abu Dhabi race . I can't imagine he's having fun and answering the constant barrage of questions about his lack of performance .

Best comment I've seen on some of the fan sites I frequent:
"Cleanup, aisle 44."

They wish. It’s a very political organisation with lots of countries having votes that count the same as say, a place like England where 90% of F1 is located. MBS is making sure to pay off the small players with “programs” for each country.. and they own the trademarks..
Honestly I’m sick of the FIA - wish F1 would tell them to pound sand and start their own renamed series, until the FIA concedes they’re just benefiting from F1 more than the other way around. It almost happened a few years back. I read a lot of F1 news and NEVER ever read anything complimentary of positive on MBS’s management or personality. Not once. Each passing day someone appears to be leaving.. or being let go. |

none of these efforts are true factory efforts anymore. the complication is the obvious company to built the GM power unit, is ilmore, who builds the chevy indy engines. however, ilmore is known as another name ... Mercedes benz powertrains ... and they make the merc f1 engines. so i would assume GM will go to someone else. hopefully not mecachrome. |

![]() Bernie Ecclestone to sell his 500 million dollar collection of 69 greatest F1 cars Love him or hate him, there’s no denying that Bernie Ecclestone left an indelible mark on the world of motorsport. As the man at the helm of Formula One for multiple decades, Ecclestone had access to some pretty spectacular icons from the pinnacle of motorsport, and it’s no surprise that more than a few found their way into his collection. Now at the ripe age of 94, Ecclestone has decided to part ways with 69 of the most incredible racing cars from history with the help of @tomhartleyjunior. “I have been collecting these cars for more than 50 years, and I have only ever bought the best of any example. Whilst many other collectors over the years have opted for sports cars, my passion has always been for Grand Prix and Formula 1 cars,” Ecclestone reflects. It’s no surprise, then, that among the former drivers of Ecclestone’s meticulously cared for cars you’ll find names like Niki Lauda, Michael Schumacher, Nelson Piquet, and Mike Hawthorn. “This is quite simply the most important race car collection in the world. There has never been and probably never will be a collection like it ever offered for sale again,” commented Tom Hartley Jnr, who continued “But, for me, the highlight of the collection has to be the Ferraris.” Among the numerous World Championship-winning prancing horses, you’ll encounter legends like the Thin Wall Special — the first Ferrari to ever beat Alfa Romeo — the Alberto Ascari Italian Grand Prix-winning 375 F1, and numerous F1 racers piloted by Lauda and Schumacher. However, it’s not just Maranello’s masterpieces that you’ll want to check out because Ecclestone has retained ownership of Brabham since the start, and therefore many racers from the team’s illustrious history are now reentering the public eye for the first time in decades. This is certainly an unmissable opportunity for any car collector, so you’ll want to keep your eyes glued to the Classic Driver Market as these legendary racing cars come up for sale.

The pre-war Mercedes and Auto Union GP cars are shuffled off into the background of that photo, which, to me is wrong on so many levels.
