Hideous:

The very definition. When you think of evil people, it's easy to drift towards more conventional criminals, like maybe someone who does a drive by shooting in the 'hood and indiscriminately kills small children. And yes, that person is a sociopath but this hideous wench also embodies the very worst of entitlement and privilege in a sociopath.

My hatred for her is complete, I hope that she rots in prison and eventually kills herself out of self pity. She will never feel pity for her victims.

In order to really understand this one, you need to read the previous news stories but they are linked in the article posted. Hopefully not all paywall. Otherwise, just google Rebecca Grossman crash.

Basically, going through a marked crosswalk with people crossing going 80? mph, killing two small children and trying to flee while drunk. Her car shut down because the airbag deployed and she was caught.

Sounds pretty horrendous. I didn't read any of the attached articles.

Lady went through a crosswalk going ~80 killing 8 and 11 year olds while narrowly missing their mother and 5yo brother. The lady didn't stop until the car stopped itself. Presumably, she was under the influence of something, but not charged that way (weird). If she was sober, holy hell.

"his client was not the only motorist to pass through the crosswalk when the children were struck that night."
WTF? I don't care is 20 cars went through the intersection all narrowly missing the kids.

Come on, certainly there's some sort of camera footage, and even if there isn't, if the car was "heavily damaged" to the point that the air bags went off and the Merc SUV shut itself down, then there had to be evidence that it was her car that did the damage.

What a disgusting person. The only thing worse than killing a couple of children is killing a couple of children on a pedestrian crossing. Then she has the cheek to deny it.

I didn't read it all either .... imo, an atty who attempts to keep these "hideous" folks outta jail when they are guilty are just about as bad...

There are some jobs that I just could never do ...

Sucks for the family ... and she can rot in a cell forever.

A horrific tragedy for Mark and Jacob Iskander and their family. There will never be true justice for them.

Hopefully the prosecution is solid. From what I read, she blew 0.076% and 0.075% at the scene with a breathalyzer and tested 0.08% with a (more accurate) blood test 3 hours later. And she tested positive for valium. Strong allegations she was racing with friend or lover retired Dodgers pitcher Scott Erickson after being seen at a restaurant having margaritas with him.

To get a second-degree murder conviction, Gould and Castro must prove that Grossman acted with implied malice and knew the act of driving at a high speed in a residential area was dangerous to human life.

John Hobson, one of Grossman’s attorneys, said that “the evidence supports we have a tragic traffic accident,” but there was no implied malice, and Grossman was not “driving with proximity attempt to kill.”

Prosecutors argue that that knowledge comes from her prior incidents. Jurors will probably hear from a California Highway Patrol officer who pulled over Grossman in 2013 after she was clocked going 92 mph on the 101 Freeway in Agoura Hills and warned her she could kill someone.

Prosecutors have not offered a plea deal to the socialite, who has been out on $2-million bond. If convicted of all charges, she could face up to 34 years in prison.

She's the wife of the doc who runs The Grossman Burn Center in Woodland Hills. Apparently she was having a "liquid lunch" with some ex-Dodger pitcher and they were racing through the streets of Westlake Village.

Here's a little background on the case. She thinks she's not the one who hit the kids. Her husband is standing by her side even though she was having an affair.

Imagine how hard you would have to hit a small child to do that much damage to a 6k lb. SUV and make the airbag deploy.

She has already been sued for wrongful death by the victims family. She reportedly remarked to the mother, “I hope that you never need the Grossman Burn Center,” (her husband’s medical facility).

She should have been suffocated at birth.

It was not an accident! It was a wreck she caused with reckless disregard of all in the area. No neighborhood has an 80 MPH limit for a good reason. Most have a 25 MPH limit for the same good reason.

She knowingly drank a alcohol, knowingly, got behind the wheel of her car and drove at stupid reckless speeds, and killed two children. I hope she is sentenced to two counts of murder, and dies of old age in prison.

According to one of the articles, when a cop was giving her a speeding ticket she said the same thing to the cop.
I wish someone would turn that around on her with "I don't plan to, but I hope you DO extensively NEED the services of the Grossman Burn Center."
I'm pretty sure that the punanni can't be good enough to have to deal with that sheiße.

It wasn't an accident, it was negligence.

I don't remember if the article said, but there was a crosswalk but no stop sign or light. I'm assuming that the road was probably 45mph, maybe 35mph. It doesn't sound residential and 20-30. Still, going 70-80+ and not even realizing that you'd hit a person...

Maybe she needs to start having people tell her, "I hope you're burned over a large percentage of your body so you can go get services from the Grossman Burn Clinic." She should have someone tell her that every day for the next 10 years.

I read the accident occurred on three-way intersection on a four lane road (that has to be two lanes each way) with a 45 mph speed limit and no signal light (now there is a signal there). I believe it was well known for traffic traveling at highway speeds.

Second degree murder convictions certainly don't sound like they're guaranteed, even though Rebecca Grossman probably qualifies, technically.

Looks like the trial started off with a bang. Looks like it'll be about 6 weeks before we know the result.

Defense atty says her car was not the FIRST one to hit the kids, but another car did a few seconds before. Guy in that car has already been cleared via pre-trial intervention.

How convenient.

Wonder what the parents, standing mere feet away, will have to say?

Her defense lawyer is doing what he can, which is not much. Basically putting up lies that are a waste of breath or at least an extreme Hail Mary but I hope and trust that the jury sees through the BS. He is a high priced mouthpiece from Texas, she shopped around until she found one who told her that he could get a walking deal.

Not sure what you mean by, "how convenient," but the entire circumstances of this incident were investigated pretty exhaustively since it happened. The boyfriend's SUV was looked at and did not show any evidence of hitting anything. Look again at the damage to hers.
