Hellofa Ratchet set buy

Tekton swivel ratchet set at a closeout discount. Why swivel and not just flex head? Swivel delivers a more straight line force, plus can be straightened, then used like a screwdriver once the fastener is loose.

But being a round head, not the tight tolerances of a flex head..the only downside.

Anyway, at a hair over $40 for all 3 drive sizes, hellofa buy.

Short video on swivel and flex:

Yep, will confess to being a bit of a tool junkie...I do have a set of the above, bought several years ago. They've functioned well with no problems. Find I use the 1/4" more than 3/8" or 1/2". One use of the 1/4" had me using more force than I should have given it, but it held up fine..

Hey, tools do a variety of useful things. Just thought some here might appreciate the bargain this set is.

(edit) I've had good luck with Tekton tools. They fit well, hold up well...a good substitute/replacement for the old made in USA Craftsman stuff. I do sorely miss the old Sears stores with a well stocked tool department.

It's the way they build swivel heads. Widen the slit to insert the head, then tighten with a screw between the slit halves. Owner can adjust tension with the screw depending on how stiff or freely he wants the head to swivel. I left mine at the factory setting...(edit) easier to see the screw in the pic in my first link...located in the broad section of the handle, below the head.

Good find.
Per the website: "Discontinued: This product was removed from our current lineup in 2022."

I put it in the cart and went all the way through to putting the card number in and it appears there still is stock. Free shipping, fyi.

I have $64 in my checking until next Monday so I backed out - Lol. If they have them this coming Monday I'll buy.

Yep..a close-out item. I paid around $60 for my set. 71 tooth action...no idea how many sets left. My thinking is that they're probably working on a higher tooth count version.
