Shhhh, don't let Steve hear you say it. The other one, Turtle Steve. He loves TB.

TB I don't know if they've ever had good food. I assume it was probably better at some point in the past, but these days, it's claim to fame, I believe, is REALLY cheap food.

If it was 2am and I was drunk, TB would probably be a prime target, but I haven't been in that situation in MANY years. (thank goodness).

I like Taco Bell. Of course, we have the best one in the world around here. (In Pacifica, CA) They serve beer that you can drink on the deck overlooking the beach.

I've never eaten in a TB, ever....I have only used the drive-thru when I want something for the road and cheap. (but I would in the one above!)
I think the last time I went thru the drive thru was over a month ago....only to find out the $2 Chipotle Grilled Chicken Burrito had been axed.

Your expectations are too high if you think a $2-3 meal is going to taste like $6 meal somewhere else.

In the years that I have eaten their food...I've never once used one of their sauce packets. I don't like covering up the normal taste of food.

The key to eating at any fast food joint is not to do it unless absolutely necessary.

I guess my palate isn't as sophisticated as others because I wouldn't hesitate to eat at any fast food place, including "The Bell", if the situation called for it.....

My beef with Taco Bell is that you’ll spend 3 bucks on a bean and cheese burrito that comes out like a taquito due to the hourly employee hating life… and they discontinued the steak quesarito…

I have and would eat at just about any FF place under the right (or is that the wrong) circumstances. Fortunately, those circumstances don't pop up much. We don't have a lot of FF places around our place. We don't have that many around our home unless they are integrated with a gas station and that just seems weird to me. I don't think I've ever been to one of those.

We actually have 3 places nearby that I'd say qualify as FF that we do go to, but they aren't chains (well, one is a small town chain with '10 locations). One is a mexican place 4 miles up the road. It's cheap and good, especially their breakfast tacos. The little burger chain, we went to a lot earlier this year, but we haven't been much lately. They use Nolan Ryan meat (the baseball guy) in their burgers which is an "all natural" minimally processed Texas beef. The other place is a BBQ place 12 miles down the road.

Honestly, I'd be just as happy getting a frozen burrito from the grocery store to microwave.

Last time I was in a Taco Bell I ordered two Taco Supremes and asked to hold the sour cream.

I gave the cashier a twenty and since I had some change in my pocket I also gave him a quarter and a dime. This threw him off - he struggled real hard to do the math in his head. I finally said to him "I'll need fourteen dollars and seven cents back" (or whatever the amount was...).

Then the gal in the kitchen, when finished with my tacos, handed me my order. By the time I had left the building and opened the bag I found two regular tacos.

They both failed these simple tasks. Good help is hard to find...

I don't eat Tacobell. Its pretty gross. The one of the very few times that was acceptable was on a long drawn out 80 mile training bike ride 20 years ago. We were starving, hot and very hungry. I needed to stop and convinced the other 4 guys to pull in and all tacos were on me. We ordered 15 beef tacos and it was damn good, full of salt which was badly needed. I think I can count all the times I have eaten at Taco Bell on one hand.
