OP, you asked what to buy as a replacement. Well, anything I have bought including copper alloy nuts for exhaust and even a stainless stud and a brass nut, eventually get more or less seized. When you use enough heat to loosen nuts, they are no good anymore. New every time unless it's been only a short while since installed. Brass nuts are a favorite with many mechanics.

I've heard of using anti-seize and other lubes to install. I would use only a little. It will all turn to a galvanic reaction eventually. Exhaust gases will see to this. But there is some science to back up various anti-seize compounds all the way to nickel and silver.

Are you referring to a MAPP bottle that I can buy at HD?

Yes Mapp is easily available at most box stores and hardware stores . Things may have changed but in the past you could NOT use a Mapp cylinder with a propane head . Please make sure all parts are compatible .

That’s the BEST case scenario. You’re going to need to replace then with new stainless steel bolts anyway. The sooner you snap them and get them out of the way the better.
There is a tool called a nut cracker that will split the nuts in two if there is space to get it in there.

Right side clamps are all new fortunately.
That sounds like the best case scenario for a situation like that to me.

These are heaven on earth compared to the Necco wafer cut off wheels. Quick change arbor included.

Yes. Propane torch head fits MAPP since the 90's at least. Don't know about the way back. Propane would work if you have the time.

Just cut them off.

The rust god’s were with me. I soaked a few weeks back and did again last night. I used a tap and cleaned the bolts, lubed up with wd40 and pulled. Got all the nuts off and was able to spin clamps freely. Couldn’t get the bolt off the clamp with one bolt but could the other two off the expensive clamp. I will replace those bolts, Anyhow, I am dropping off Tuesday to have the mechanic put on the 986 soul valve pipes. He said likely 4 hours but really depends on those bolts and the hassle. Should be piece of cake now. He can replace clamps if needed.
Thanks all. I really appreciate the help.

Good job!

So what kind of wrench did you end up using?

Thanks.
Not the impact. It’s one of those wrench’s with a bend on the end so not flat. Not sure what called.
