Mel supported putting RDJ in "Air America" when nobody wanted to give him work. Mel is a great actor and director and always delivers. Looking forward to the new "Lethal Weapon"

Baz, I can move this to OT if you'd like. Best. There are some folks here, I think, that know him.

Acting is a job that requires zero politics. Actors are human and to forgive is divine.

When the left goes after one of their own, they want to destroy them. Good for both of them they survived. Especially Mel, he is way too talented both as an actor and a director and producer. He has put out some great movies.

Thanks Paul, but IMHO it'd only end up back here, so I think we're good. Cheers!

I know people who’ve worked as crew on Gibson movies. He’s the greatest guy on earth when sober.

Not an evaluation of Mel as I have no idea but, when a person's personality changes greatly when drunk I don't trust their sober face.

Since the beginning of time man has fought the battle with the bottle, and yet has never won. I was going to say that some of the liberals that post here might also be the greatest guys in the world when sober, but based upon their drunken posts we'll never know...

"Apocolypto" was the first move I saw which portrayed Central American tribes as more than just stoic hunting/gathering/war , "The Passion of the Christ" is a masterpiece. Mel's acting in 'The Year of Living Dangerously" and "Gallipoli" are phenomenal then add in the "Mad Max" trilogy, and" Lethal Weapon" series and Mel is a bona-fide Hollywood legend. It is absolutely refreshing seeing people with actual talent (Mel and RJD) be rewarded, instead of just rewarding those who conform with "the message"

Bird On A Wire and Maverick were good also. Heck, I even liked him in Daddy's Home 2.

I was just happy to see RDJ had cleaned up his act. For a while there he wasn't looking too good. Nice to see him enjoying life without the aid of whatever he was using.
