unsolicited packages from Walmart

Anyone else getting these ? I am not an account holder, getting these packages addressed to me. Unless you are an account holder, minimal interest from their reporting sites, ditto with local store manager. 11 oz. packages being listed as 9 lbs. sent on shipping two day rates shown as coming from Las Vegas distribution center. I'm thinking the scam is in the shipping, which would be traceable if the company was interested ? Any thoughts as to how to communicate this to someone who cares at the company ?

Is the post office delivering the packages, or UPS, or ???

If they're delivered by the post office, they will deal with them.

Send a message via AIM to Gogar
if it's addressed to you, open it and see if there's an invoice or packing list with an order number.

It's likely due to a "brushing scam" which isn't going to cost you money. It's just a way for folks that sell stuff or make products to make fake reviews.

I get emails almost every day about packages that can't be delivered to me.
All they need is verification.....yeah right.

Years ago, stuff started appearing at my house that I didn’t order. I quickly checked my debit card and found out my identity had been hacked. I assume they had the stuff sent to my address and we’re going to stop by later that day and grab “their” items.

Luckily I happened to have taken the day off that day.

Pain in the rear and I will never use a debit card again.

Check your CC account and make sure no charges have been made.

That's different. They are phishing.

In this case, folks have actually ordered items, paid for them, and had them shipped to some random stranger.

Something similar happened to. A friend of mine a few years ago with Amazon. They had some small stuff sent to him in an account in HIS name but made some larger purchases sent elsewhere.
