What is up with Audi drivers?

I just drove a good piece of Italy on the Autostrada (sp?) today. It was no big deal. But I saw a trend develop. It was the biggest jerks drive Audis. A Q5 took the cake. But, A4 wagons were consistently in the hunt. No other make stood out in any manner.

I know about the “black Audi wagon” joke thread. But there seems to be legitimate data that supports this.

Driving quickly isn’t the issue. It is driving aggressively and even predatory.

I knew you all would understand. Can’t wait to hear your insights.

Audi Drivers are the new BMW Drivers. (Some say Tesla drivers.)

I drive an A5...and feel that I don't fit your stereotype.

Do the Audi drivers use turn signals? BMW drivers sure don't.

Silly. Once you fixate on a particular object you don't see the others. I drive a Jag so I see every one. I drive a black Chevy PU and there are 1000's of them, so much that they don't stand out as much. Narrowing it down to an Audi wagon is like the Jag.

Pity the good driver Mustang owners. Every car has an image attached. That's sad, but there it is.

Every time I see a Mustang I don't see a wreck happening in my mind. Every time I see a newish Corvette I don't see a fat belly and a gold chain. There are a lot of stereotypical things I see way before a class of bad drivers. It just isn't there.

Well, maybe young women in rush hour traffic. I'm usually parked by 3PM.

Audi drivers have a history of freezing on the gas pedal...thinking it's the brake pedal.

That said, I don’t mind owning an RS3, even for just 3 years.

Not a problem here.

Unlike Lexus, PT Cruiser, BMW, Ford F150, Subaru, Jeep, and HHR drivers.....who basically suck at driving!

Just picked up a 2017 A4 allroad for the wife. She does like to speed a bit. The damn thing is a rocket, for a 4 cylinder.

Sure, under warranty maybe. I almost bought an A4, 180 hp compact sedan, when I bought that Integra sedan, only car I ever bought new. Audi was pretty nice, but felt heavy compared to the GS-R

Jeep driver is not going to be someone who makes good decisions

To be fair, the BAW was parked.

Of course some Karens thought it was parked aggressively.

how else are you going to be noticed driving a car that is indistinguishable from an early 2000s Jetta?

It seems like I should have something constructive to add to this thread, but I don't.

It definitely is a pocket rocket. I bought my gf an A5 sportback and that thing moves! Of course, my Audi wagon is faster...but it sucks way more gas! lol

I remember remarking to my wife as we were traveling on the motorways on our first trip to the UK in '01, I was surprised that the cars going by with the greatest speed differential were Audi A5s. I speculated they might be salesmen in company cars.
