Recommendation Miata manual
Any recommendations for. Gen 2 Miata? Looking for something similar to a Bentley that I’ve had for other cars. I’ll be using for things like replacing waterpump, etc.
Thanks you. |

miata.net has everything you want/need.
https://www.miata.net/garage/timingbelt.html this looks to be 1.6 not 99, but its all the same on these cars. i have never found the "timing belt tools" to ever work in the cam gears, they never line up properly, but i dont think i have a single non-shaved head laying around anymore. so i use the double wrench method, or just use a second person. there is a bunch of drama online about counting teeth on the timing belt, but i never do that either, i just line em up, slip it on, and then spin them and check to make sure they are still aligned. front main is leaking on my newly build blue car, so i gotta change that out here this summer. waterpump/timing belt is like a 2 hour job. |

I have a Haynes and a Factory manual. I use both.
Flying Miata and Miata King are the videos I use. |

I know that I swapped out the timing belt in my '97 (water pump while you're in there, etc...) and did some other stuff on the car. I can't remember what manual I used. I might have had a Chilton manual. I've always been a Chilton person more than Haynes, mostly from way back in the 80s.
