Dang, ill in the middle of May?

I didn't get sick for a couple of years. Normally I don't get enough rest and it catches up with me every winter, not mid May? I noticed there a re many people who got hit pretty bad from this cold. You? I wonder if its regional?

I've had various health issues for about 7 weeks now (Sciatica, energy, motivation, dizziness etc).

I'm now getting back to normal but it's been a hard slog.

Dizziness? That's not something to mess about. I had a bit of vertigo when server allergy, post nasal drip, that affect my inner ear. Horrible feeling. I hope you get over it soon. What do you think that is causing your lack of energy? With sciatica are you still able to get out and ride?

Peter, not that I'm promoting it. it's just that someone mentioned it to me and I tried it and had good success with it.

I have a level teaspoon of ashwagandha powder mixed with soy milk (or anything) and it kind of licks me into top gear. Odd, but it works for me.

Look. Eek, GF has inner ear problems and ends up in accident and emergency. Her's is called Ménière disease. Good luck.

I'm not so sure it's a cold.
I've had every Covid vax and Booster shot that has come out....and every shot has resulted in after-effects of very strong headaches and over-all sick feelings.

A couple weeks ago, after a vacay that included 3 plane flights, I came down with the same symptons of a Covid shot, but worse.
I had 5 days of splitting headaches and my whole head and neck hurt like crazy. I took aspirin like candy and I normally never get headaches. (before the Covid shots.)

I heard from others that the same has happened to them recently.
Also read that there is a new covid variant out, but it's not as dangerous as the previous ones.

In hell right now.

I mentioned I caught a flu of some sort couple days ago. That was the beginning, itchy throat and the typical symptoms. Tested no covid. Yesterday, I started to feel like siht. Head, body aches, and the goddamn none stop coughing all day / night. No appetite since I have to stay away from the rest the family, I decided to drive to El Pollo Loco for some BBQ chicken to warm myself up. In the middle of night, I started to throw up none stop and was coming out of both ends. It was a long night. I spent today sleeping with sever body aches. I am dreading the sleep situation tonight tossing and turning. Nyquil should knock me out and help some. I don't remember flues being to bad.

Woah. Respiratory and stomach - weird combo and nasty.

When I have a bad flu, getting into a hot bath helps with the chills and aching, enough that I can get to sleep.

I haven’t had the flu for, well, since Covid started. Do not look forward to getting it - the “ first time back “ is going to be tough.

I agree. Weird combo. I'd consider a trip to ask a doc.

Yeah, I recommend a doc visit too.

Around here we have something like a 0800NURSE to phone and they can tell you to call an ambulance, pour yourself another drink, delete your browsing history or all of the above.

I sure hope tonight's sleep will do me some good. After about 5 pm, since I have been awake, I felt a bit loopy. The cough kicks my butt. Just ate a little bit of frozen mango. Worst thing is having no appetite. wife made me some chicken noodle soap. I just can't seem to eat it but normally, I would wolf that down within seconds. Thank goodness the throwing up and bathroom visit stopped. That took a lot out of me. I forced myself to drink due to dehydration from losing fluid. Shouldn't have done that now I am bloated. If I feel like this again tomorrow, I will have to drive my fat ass to the doc.

Sorry to hear but I was similarly sick a couple of months ago. There are some nasty viruses going around this year. Get well soon. 🔜

My daughter had the same symtoms last week. She was at a business conference in Las Vegas when she got sick in the middle of the night. She thought it was food poisoning. Worst part was she had to fly home in the morning. Somehow she held it together( if you know what I mean) and made it home to Denver.

You might want to test again for covid. My wife and I both tested positive on our 10 day AZ trip in late March, early April. Pretty much ruined the trip. We both had weird symptoms that seemed to last forever. Congested, GI stuff, tired, achey, the list goes on.

I went the the pharmacy yesterday asking for a flu shot. The LA Times has been saying that seniors need a booster now. Last shot was in Oct. No shots available now or in the next 2 months according to CVS.

Mask on everywhere there are lots of people. Went to a restaurant on Mother's Day against my better judgement.

Yes, according to the local news the flu is raging away in L.A.
