Pelican Flock-In at PIR This Summer?

A few interesting vintage racing events + car shows coming to my local racetrack in Portland OR, Portland International Raceway (PIR)

PIR Speedtour 7/26-28
https://svra.com/events/2024-portland-speedtour/

Columbia River Classic 8/31-9/1
https://sovrenracing.org/columbia-river-classic/

All British Field Meet 8/31-9/1
https://abfm-pdx.com/

(yes, the CRC and ABFM share PIR that weekend so you get a two-fer)

Thinking local or PNW Pelicans might meet up at one or both of these?

I've gone ahead and sent this link to a text group of PDX Pelicans who may or may not frequent 'off topics', but are very active in the "retired and lets get together for lunch or coffee" group. Plenty of response, so I think this will work out nicely. I'm a big fan of the All British Field Meet; a lot of really interesting cars show up for that event, typically, that I never see except here...

If some of our Seattle brethren like Supe and-or Higgins can join, well, that would be extra cool!

Excellent!

I've never been to the ABFM and if there is one car I wanted from an earlier age than a 911, it is a XKE. Its the only car I'd sell my 911 to have.

I sure wish the NW Pelican thread didn't die. Too bad it got moved over to a text thread. Can't stand my phone dinging all the time so left the text thread. I Like to check the forum when I like to check the forum not when it likes to ding me. Now when I check the forum and its dead.

I turned off 'message notifications' for that thread for that exact same reason. It lets me know what's going on and be part of the group without having to hear that ding ad-infinitum.
