Win 10 upgrade restarting forever

Nevermind. After 1.5 hours it finally updated. And changed my screen resolution settings for some reason.

Now I just need a good single purchase bookkeeping software program since Quickbooks has gone to subscription.

I run Win 10 in Parallels on my Mac for QuickBooks. It's been bugging me for months to update so I finally hit the button. Now it's in a forever blue screen of Restarting death, completely with twirly dots.

It's in Parallels so it could be a Parallels thing. Or just a Windows thing. thoughts?

Shaun,

Let me know if you find a good Quickbooks substitute. Pisses me off that it now costs $50 plus a month to have it. My tiny business makes only a couple thousand a year, so accounting costs have now become a huge expense.

I need the billing functionality, so I’m stuck for now.

Maybe just some sort of spreadsheet, then bill through PayPal invoice?

Shawn, was this just an update of Win 10, just some regular minor update? Or is this a major upgrade to a new version?

I wisll Rutager. Paypal has a good invoicing system, that may be all you need.

I think just a regular minor update Steve. Took an hour and 20 just to start going trough the motions of actually updating. Seems to work fine now.

Excellent! Processes that take longer than usual to complete SUCK! In my work, we have some things that we know and expect to take longer than usual to complete, and we're still often thinking "Crap, is it going to come back" in the time between how long it usually takes and how long we know it should take.

I’ve got a HP laptop with Win 10 for work and it seems like every time I turn it on or shut it down it’s updating. And takes a loooooonnnggg time. I hate it.
