Any Hawaiian shirt experts here?

Going to Maui next month so I’m shopping for Hawaiian shirts. Found this on Amazon. Much cheaper than buying on the island. What do you think?

I went to Hawaii a few years ago and I bought a couple of shirts before my trip. I was meeting my parents there who were there a couple of weeks before me. My mom told me not to buy any shirts as they found a thrift store (Savers) that had lots of shirts. I really did not want to do that so I bought a couple anyway. When I got there, we went to Savers and there were literally thousands of Hawaiian shirts and probably 40% were brand new with original tags. Apparently, a lot of tourists buy shirts and then donate.

I bought about 20 shirts for about $75 and many were top brands like Reyn Spooner and others.

My very good friend lives on Kuaii and she always tells me not wear one when I visit.

The shirt pictured above would be referred to as a mahu shirt in Hawaii

My girlfriend made a Hawaiian shirt for me when I was in college. It had 8 inch tall polar bear faces just above the hem all the way around. I thought it was hilarious.

I'm pretty sure Amazon sells men's clothes, too.

I usually get mine used on Ebay. Some of the better shirt manufacturers are no longer in business. Look for Diamond Head, Kahala, Avanti and Pataloha (Patagonia) shirts.

Cantdrv, I'll send you this one to you for free, if you're interested. I've owned this for years and worn it twice.
It's Med, but it is definitely a traditionally roomy Med. I'm 6'2, 180lbs and it is plenty big for me.

It's also silk, and it needs dry cleaning, - there's a spot on the front.

PM me your add if it's you can see yourself at a Luau wearing this...

I'm guessing it's still there. Aloha Stadium Swap Meet market is a fun place to go to and lots of Hawaii shirts there at friendly prices.

The one Hawaiian shirt I have that is legit is from Tori Richard and the tag actually says Made in USA, which surprises me.
