Thank you, I hadn't heard that before.

I can say this is one of my all time favorite albums. I also want the dress.

+1000, absolutely (though I'll skip the dress). But if you don't already have it, get 'Round Midnight. Double CD box set, 3X the music, 3X the awesomeness of Linda & Nelson Riddle. Can't recommend this enough.

She was not an opera singer. That said, anyone understanding music and singing and pitch will be stunned with her skill. Starting at 3:45 you can easily hear the bullseyes.

But she was a blues/pop singer. One of the best of all time.

Eagles did alright on their own, I think.

Been searching the net for a concert I saw in the day, '75 I think, at the Lisner Auditorium on the GW U campus in DC. Linda opened for Jackson Browne. That was a good night. Sneaky Pete played pedal steel for both.

This is as close as I can find. Same tour, in NJ. Have started it a bit abruptly, but there is just tuning up (as usual for concerts then) before she starts. Not a voice like her's anywhere.

absolutely. she's got a great voice but brings nothing to the Eagles catalog.

separately I can't believe how bad Linda M sounds in that video! Sweet goodness the greatest pop artist of all time let her on the stage?

It's one thing to be pretty at 30, but still being pretty at 79 says more.

It says that plastic surgery, makeup and photoshop are powerful tools.

Couple of months ago played Linda Ronstadt's youtube of "When Will I Be Loved" for a Swiftie Granddaughter. Telling her that Taylor Swift sings being done bad songs but she will never match this. She did not agree but said Linda R had a nice voice.

And Linda did it without Autotune.

Great point!

Can todays artists sound good without the electronic assistance?

Not my kind of musical genre, but goodness:
