They are both great. With that straight on rear view, the back of the 61 reminds me a bit of the early corvairs (similar/same time frame, I think).

I too change my vote. I like the extra character in the '61 but the '62 is a more cohesive look from the rear.

The 62 is looking better and better:D

I like the 61 front end more than the 62, but it's all about the ass:D

Glad to see so many people lining up behind the correct choice. :D

I agree, the rear of the '61 does look like it was inspired by the front end of a Corvair.

You must be an engineer. :D When I worked in engineering, it always drove me nuts that they couldn't give a straight answer to a question.

Me - "I'm painting my house green. What is the best brand of paint?
Engineer - "You should paint it yellow."

OP - "Which is best, '61 or '62?"
Engineer - "'67."

Targa68 09-12-2024 07:27 AM

It's all about the look, the fins

Lol, you're close. Dyscalculia made engineering a non-starter. (I can't tell you how many times I got hollered at for screwing up check registers.) Fortunately, software deals with logic more than math, so that became my career path.

I like the 61, but as Dixie said, the one you can find in the best condition.

Targa68 09-12-2024 08:24 AM

Working on a 1962 year, I'm leaning toward the Eldorado model:cool:
