Gas is d.... nah just messin with ya...

Hey guys! What's up?
As you can see I'm back. I reached out to Seahawk asking if I could be temporarily reinstated yesterday because I saw Baz's mom had passed and wanted to send my condolences "in person" rather than through some of the guys I stay in contact with. Seahawk graciously allowed and said I could stay for as long as I'd like. So thanks for that. It'll be nice not having to email guys and say "hey could ya post this "..." in a thread where I can offer some help..

I've been following some of the things that have gone on here. crowbob... no I'm not dead I'm only 52 man!!

I haven't gotten back into the sports car scene but I've been helping Bob K work on his Targa when I'm visiting my daughter. That and now I'm into another type of speed.... Weiner dog races!!! We (me, Bob and my daughter) hit Oktoberfest in Cleveland last weekend (rawknees is well aware) For some reason I can't remember where the little speedster in the pic finished! I know it won the early race for the "puppy class" but I just can't seem to recall how it did in the later races

Good to be back!!

That's Deeter. He took second overall. You can tell it was a long day for him. The first race at 1:00 and the finals at 5:00.

I must say that Oktoberfest really started getting good after the third craft beer.

Thanks to your very sober daughter for driving.

That first race is what did me in... The excitement made me thirsty for more racing.... and beer... and it just went downhill from there.

Very good to have you back, Nick. "Redemption" is such a powerful word, I think, and I see Pelican has the wisdom and heart to grant it. I'm looking at you, Paul.

I was skipping clicking on the thread until I just realized it was The Banished One. Great having you back! What's your current job situation?

Things are improving slowly. I think the issue now is that many of the OEM dealers are upside down in their competitive brand trades. I'd guess year end will be a buying opportunity. I've been looking into getting a line of new OEM to sell but that's a little difficult when I'm in such a small market.
It's probably a good thing I'm not too busy with my business. My son bought a house back in March and wanted to be moved in by June. That doesn't sound too bad until you realize we gutted the entire first floor due to old knob and tube wiring that needed replaced. The place had drop ceilings and paneling in every room. Behind that was old plaster. I probably shortened my life by a few years but I got it done for the most part. He still has a master bath we added that needs to be finished. Other than that he has a really nice starter home now.
On a side note, a good massage therapist is a wonderful thing! By the time I got to finishing the drywall, my hands were going numb from pressure on a nerve in both shoulders. I thought it was cubital tunnel at first. I couldn't hold my cellphone with my elbows bent for the length of a normal phone call without my hands going numb. I literally had to switch from hand to hand or just use speaker phone. OH THE FUN! One visit to a massage therapist and all was better.

I would keep up the massage for a while, then. Acupuncture might work well if you can find a truly good practitioner.

That's the thing! One visit and I haven't had a problem since! I'm going to go back for a maintenance visit. My first visit, she really helped me help her. At one point I told her "You just completely lit up my entire shoulder". She said "tell me when I hit that spot again. And then tell me when it stops hurting" I was like DAMN and then daaaaaaaamn. She put her elbow literally on the spot where I said "yep that's it" and in a few seconds... gone. I've been to a few MT's but most that I'd been to just focused on the general complaint rather than telling me what they needed to know to help. This lady has a customer for as long as she remains in the area. In fact, I did my best to hurt myself yesterday laying under my F250 changing a starter in the field where the starter just decided it was over. I'll be scheduling an appointment this week.

Believe it or not, no. The world might have just stopped spinning for a hot second there! But I have a good friend who sells commercial mowers. I can ask him. If I had to guess I'd go with no on the forks being universal.
