Cool My Hot Girlfriend

Yes, my hot girlfriend wants to know how to cool down when she's in my '78 SC.
Specifically, she wants to know how to have outside air come through the front vents without turning on the air conditioning. I know, but she's gotta see it in print.

The vents on the dash? She is out of luck, unless she will settle for the defroster vents. Oh well, at least you will still have a hot GF.

Kind of like the 2/60 AC in VW Bugs?

2 windows rolled down at 60 mph.

I like 'em a bit sweaty myself, as my friend Zo said once when asked which one he'd rather have; a Viper or a 996TT......"the Porsche makes 'em wet"

hey denis, come out to the valley tomorrow night.

Thank you Dennis for answering my REAL Porsche question. My hot and sweaty GF appreciates your response.
As for Mr. LeeH, it was an actual question from my hot GF. If you are concerned with real Porsche topics, why are you wanting to see 'My Hot Girlfriend'? I also noticed that you responded to my 'Extremely Large Hooters' topic. I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers and I know I am 'new here', but I just wanted an answer to my question. Being a former ad man I know that sex sells.
Maybe POVI can grace us with another fine photo?

Ok, sex sells.

So you got people's attention.

But not necessarilly of the people who could answer your question (is that why you are a former ad man?) and you wasted the time of those of us looking for smut.

I think you should remedy by posting photos of your hot and sweaty girlfriend.

I think that Lee was just pissed off that he opened the thread and didn't see a picture of your hot girlfriend, you know, truth in advertising.

Oh, come on, you should know there is rarely truth in advertising.
But my GF is hot. She just won't approve of the photos I've picked so far.
Are we still on topic? I don't want to piss anyone off.

Not a feather has been ruffled! It's just a friendly suggestion to you as a new member of the community that you follow the basic rules that make the community work.

Fact: Everyone here wants their questions answered.
Fact: If everyone's topics were as misleading as yours then this forum would lose its value quickly an noones questions would get answered.

Hmmm.... looks like one of the board's moderators has already pulled the plug (FYI, I had nothing to do with that) so I guess I'm not far off here.

You may have instructions for the blower controls on the inside of your glove box lid.

If I remember correctly the bottom levers go all the way to the left and the top two go in the middle. Fresh air should come out of the middle vents on the dash.

Please post pictures of your sweaty girlfriend anyway.

Dear LeeH.

I had asked a question about '78 exhaust compatibility several days ago. 54 views and STILL no responses. 'Extremely Large Hooters' got approximately 1,500 views and 20 something responses! IT WAS THE SAME QUESTION. Granted, most of the responses were not helpful (but entertaining). The others did answer my tech question. All in all everyone seemed like they had a good time an a sense of humor.

The 'My Hot Girlfriend' was just another attempt to get an answer to a bonified Porsche tech question. And it worked. She really did want to see it in writing!

I highly value the information I get from this forum and would not want to see it go down the sewer. I am impressed that this thread was moved to its proper location so quickly. (Kudos to those at Pelican working the big thread filter!) As far as my topics being misleading, who is really gonna be that upset that they didn't get to see "My Hot Girlfriend'? POVI posted a photo in 'Extremely Large Hooters' so no one got jipped on that thread. Come on, even you posted a smiley face! If my 'plug had been pulled' you would not be reading this right now. The board's moderators just put it where it belongs. In the Off Topic section.

I'll tell you what. If I promise boobs I will provide them. And every time one of my tech questions goes unanswered, I'm gonna e-mail it to you.
And I'll expect a prompt, accurate answer!

Thank you.
A fellow Targa owner

ON TOPIC!

I have removed the AC from my 75, and the only parts that remain are the blower (smugglers box) and the dash piece with vents and control switches. This allows me to push air through the cabin with the blower...it works pretty well!

So, now that we're properly in the Off Topic section, can we see pics of your hot girlfriend?

I didn't move this thread, but I concur. Any more attempts at getting more thread views by using a misleading thread topic title will be dealt with similarly.

We typically have a lot of fun here. There have been posts about wives/girlfriends, kids, pets, cars on ebay, etc that go on for quite some time without getting moved off topic. The moderators are really pretty easy going.

If I had to guess, I'd say the reason your original exhaust question wasn't answered is because it was posted on a Sunday morning on a holiday weekend. Most of the traffic here is during the week and in the evening. Look, I really didn't intend to get into a debate about this. I'm not the OT Police - there are people assigned that task. You should know that if you post a lot of OT stuff you will eventually have your account pulled.

Smiley face??? No, I posted a But it should have been a after reviewing that photo!

In the thread title "Extremely Large Hooters" I think boobs were indeed promised. They have yet to be delivered. And now the gallery is clamoring for pics of "My Hot Girlfriend".

I think I see how you could both fulfil the earlier promise and satisfy the gallery's current clamor . . .
