The skwerls bury the walnuts in my front lawn... when they dig 'em up ... yep...

I'll have an 18 hole golf course ...

Yers must be 1800 holes .... easy!

They say a skwerl can remember where they bury up to 1000 nuts....

Mebbe they are nutz for counting and caring

what about this business of spreading sand to help level the yard? I've got two big dogs that run all over the back yard and it's getting kinda lumpy out there. Sure looks like a neat idea on YouTube.

I quit calling mine a back yard several years ago.... my Lab, the neighbor's Golden and a GSD with big azz feet that likes to dig .... when I won't play "stick"...

A Dawgs' playground .... lumps and all...

They won!

For a really nice lawn you need to get the ph dialed in for the type(s) of grass you are growing, plus the many other steps, but this one is important.

That's where my mind went from the thread title.

Lawns? Planted hundreds of them. Seed, fertilizer, lime, mulch hay, water and wait.

If I ever went back to production, I'd buy one of these:

As an aside, I repaired/replaced about 30 sq feet of sod in Florida after Hurricane Ian and was reprimanded by township engineer, had to hire a licensed landscaper to pull a permit.
