Acquired Taste
|
somebody writing a check at walmart or a grocery store these days makes me salty AF.
I go to walmart like once a month for sundries from my rural community and I stay away from the older, bluehaired ladies working the register. They are like in slow motion and are way too chatty here in the country and can't count cash or do change effectively... I save my cash for hookers and blow...

G'day!
|
Just saw a report that the Walmarts in this area are one by one removing their self checkouts. Some already have. Some planned for next year.
They already did this for the Dollar General stores. The reason? Dirt bags using the system to steal merchandise. ![]()

I used to work for Walmart. I could not believe haw much stuff gets stolen. People seem to think its ok to skip scanning a few items in the cart. Or push the cart out the door without paying. Happens way more often than I would have thought.

A long time ago I worked in retail . The term for theft back then was " shrink or shrinkage " . It was generally known by management/employees that anything above 2 % was bad . It affected everything including pay raises .
I think today a retailer would be happy if it was only 2 % . Just too many crooks/thieves/scammers . Then you make it easier by allowing self checkout . Oh and then cut back on security . Recipe for failure . |
