Home stereo & outdoor speakers?

Soliciting input on adding wireless outdoor speakers to my stereo system.
I have an Onkyo TX-8190 receiver with wifi and Bluetooth, so I'm thinking it's straightforward, right?

Oh, and I'd like a bit of fidelity.

Thanking y'all in advance.

Got an android or Iphone with Pandora, Apple Music or Spotify? Just go to Walmart and buy a couple ONN Large Party speakers for $119 each. They're rechargeable, pairable together and honestly sound pretty damn good. I use those for all of my outdoor gatherings and by the pool. If you don't want something that big, they have a few different size options.

Do you want a fixed not movable system?
Portable?

Are you looking to play your collection from the receiver? Or just stream from the net?

How long do the batteries last?

Thanks, I didn't expect the solution to be so simple. I bought a medium ONN speaker this morning. It does indeed make a pretty good outdoor speaker. Now I'm all set for Wine Wednesday tonight.

PS, I opted for the medium speaker as it'll be easier to store when not in use.

I find it amazing the sound that can come out of a portable speaker.

Cousin had this Bose alarm clock/radio thing, a bit bigger than a hardcover book.I did not believe that was the only radio at first

Is that a built in "light show" .... and a "target" if ya play any crappy tunes ?

I remember hearing the sound outta a tiny speaker sitting outside on a deck/patio years ago... dude's phone playlist ... my gf (and his) musta been socializing.... A few beers and the music could've been my list .... but I've never gone that route....

Audiophile... nope!
Awesome... yep !

Yes, it comes with a variety of light shows. You can also turn that feature off if it triggers bad acid flashbacks while listening to Jefferson Airplane.

I'm generally a fan of SONOS stuff and bought the wireless speakers they have a few years back. They sit on a charging perch when not moved outside. Decided it wasn't an ideal setup and after talking with my cousin in Ft Lauderdale who manages in a high end AV company ordered a set of wired outdoor speakers to run off a SONOS amp. A little effort to run the wires but absolutely worth it. The SONOS stuff can be persnickety with wireless connections at times. I think they are Bowers & Wilkins AM1 but not positive.

I have wired outdoor speakers on 3 of the 4 sides of my home each system hooked up to it's own Pyle stereo receiver/amp.

Then I also have a number of different portable rechargeable speakers I can take anywhere I want - including my bicycle.

All of them are capable of using flash drives, which I load with whatever MP3 files I want that I keep in my PC.

Really easy to use and the sky's the limit as far as content goes.

Whatever the mood strikes.......

The general populations expectations from speakers for quality sound has diminished ever since we went digital.

100%.

I still have my high end system for indoors. But for outdoors....I'm not as picky. Practicality take precedent over quality. That said......it still sounds great to me!

Agree with Baz. Fortuately most of us grew up in the golden age of great music
and Hi Fi gear. I've always had great stereo gear since High school and still do.
So many people and especially younger folks have no idea what a great stereo sounds
like

^^^^ All of my neighbors use to know what a great system sounds like

I need a few amps, etc.

And I compromised with the digital age ... and SS too ...

It's about the music ....

And Jimmy Buffet's Margarittaville album will warp by a college apt pool in 1982 in the sun.... BTDT too.

He played our college gym that night ... I might have been there ... I think I wuz
