Jay Leno Gets Swollen Eye After Falling Down 60-Foot Hill

Comedian Jay Leno says his eye is swollen after he fell down a 60 foot hill. He was staying at a Pennsylvania Hampton Inn when he wanted to have dinner at a restaurant before his show. Instead of walking the mile and half down a road, he says he tried to take a short cut down the hill. Incredibly, Leno performed just three hours later. This is just the latest mishap to happen to Leno in recent years. Inside Edition's Jim Moret has more.

Looks real painful.
I am a bit surprised he was staying at a Hampton Inn.

Ouch! Yeah, surprised about Hampton as well. Maybe just the closest place to the comedy joint?
Met him once at Laguna Seca by accident, he is pretty much a down to earth guy aside from his $'s.
Funny in person too.

It's like he's starring in a "Final Destination" movie and keeps escaping...

Born in 1950. Jay has reached the "You're not as spry as you think you are" stage. It's past the time for him to think, I mean really think, about it.

He has been getting beat up too much these last couple of years. He needs to be a little more careful. And yes, he is a fantastic guy!

I'd rather stay active and occasionally get beat up than sit in a rocking chair doing absolutely nothing.

Good on Mr Leno for enjoying life.

That's not what I said...but once in your 70's & 80's, you need to think before a move, not just do it without thinking like you did in earlier years. I took a tumble 8 days ago...I'm still recovering.

Jay has a lot on his plate with his wife, Mavis in memory care. He is one of the best ambassadors of our hobby.

Right, don't sit on the couch. Just be more careful/mindful of what you're doing and what's going on.

Whenever I see him behind the wheel of anything, it's pure cringe. I really don't know how he can see thru those squinting eyes, almost like he's asleep most of the time. It's just a matter of time before he wrecks something.

He's got a few notches in that belt already, but it's always the little things.

If you look at the videos from just 2 years ago, you will see a much heaver version of Leno. Then he set himself on fire, and soon was clotheslined off his motorcycle by a steel cable across a parking lot.

He joked it is burn and crash diet, and he did not want the crash and burn diet. He is much slimmer now.
