Thanks, Kurt. Should be OK. My mechanic is very good! I think this was a complicated issue that just ended up taking longer to figure out.

My Silverado is back home. It ran as good as new on the way home....just as before. Will have to see if I get any of the little hesitations I was getting leading up to this. If not, I suppose they were related to the issue we just resolved (?)

Anyhoo.....I'm a happy camper! Ivan also got the tow switch working again...the button at the end of the shift lever. And the damn bell rings now when the key is in the ignition. Speaking of the ignition....the ignition lock feels much more "solid" now than before. I think it had been on it's way out, so there's something else resolved. The only negative - and it's a small one - is until I re-key the door locks - I now have two keys for the truck, instead of just one.

I REALLY LOVE my truck and am so grateful to have it back.

Also, the tow hitch arrived today so I left it and my Volvo with Ivan to do the install, which he said he'd do tomorrow.

Ivan installed my hitch today. He said it bolted right up - no drilling required!

I ordered a Reese "starter kit" from Amazon yesterday and it was delivered today, so that worked out well.

I'm stoked and can't wait to try her out!

I still have to do the wiring for the lights, but that's not a big deal.

Also, I used my truck for work today and it ran perfect!
