At least you can get some ideas if you can't afford it.

The truck tool set up is outstanding.

FWIW, I'm slowly migrating tools to my Craiglist MATCO big box while working. Seems I use screwdrivers and screwdriver handle type tools way more than I thought I did. Just an observation.

Hmmm, Bob, I'd say you've come upon a unique and good way to organize a new toolbox.

Holy Carp! I only paid $27,000 for my house, albeit in 1975.

When I was a mechanic I was constantly amazed at how much my fellow mechanics spent when the weekly Snap-On truck stopped by. The tools are NICE, but there’s no way I’m buying a toolbox on a payment plan! I watched the video and it’s like watching a super car video, fun to dream but likely not in the cards. Harbor Freight still gets the job done.

Im sure I have said this before here. There was a good period of my younger years, where my tool payments were more than my mortage and all my other home bills combined . I cant believe my wife put up with it . I drove ****ty cars, and had to budget my life very carefully as I was building a business and purchsing equipment .
My buds were all driving nice cars, and here I am rolling into work every day in a 75.00$ Volkswagen fox , with all my free money going to the snap on man .
Back in those days, there was no marketplace or online sellers, so you either bought new, or every once in a while, would get lucky and find a good deal used from someone you may have known in the biz . Now, its much easier
That being said, been 25+ years, and I am stil using that same tool box. Never had to replace a single drawer slide or lock yet . The paint is wearing off and its starting to show its age, but , Ill never sign on that dotted line again for a big dollar tool box .
They were crazy expensive when I bought way back then, now , they are just silly expensive . Young guys are putting down 20-40 k on a tool box .
Ill purchase second hand, repos, or trade ins if I ever need a new one again, but thats doubtful . Im now really only purchasing specialty tools .

You know what else sucks about those huge boxes... You cant friggen move them .. If you work at a dealer and have a dedicated bay, then its great. I have 3 lifts and basically 6 different bays, and I found I was constantly runnning across the shop to grab the tools that I used most. I ended up buying a smaller bottom cab and keeping all my most used stuff in that, and just dragging it around the shop from job to job . I bet it saves me a few hours a week .
Here is my worker box.
The larger ones are in the background . When that big red box was loaded full of tools, I could barely roll it .

I like having my tools scattered around all over the place.
Think about it.
When was the last time your truck or tractor broke down in the shop? Never, right? It's always somewhere else when it stops on you. So if your tools are scattered all around, there is a non-zero chance some of them will be nearby when you need them.
You guys need to think about this stuff.

My thoughts on the obviously well off financially guy? He's living the life many here would probably do if a big powerball win happened. Maybe something different than off road vehicles, but otherwise, pretty much the same. Yup, the guy is living a lottery fantasy.

Fred has it nailed..the big box for main storage, a smaller cart for near what you're working on, adjusting the smaller cart tools for the job at hand. The tipover tale...only open one drawer at a time, keep the heavy stuff in the lower box.

Wd? I dunno 'bout you, but I keep a set of "carry tools" in each car that covers the basics...but for more complicated stuff? It's call the tow truck time. Car to be taken either home or to a pro...depending on the situation. I like my triple stack of USA made Craftsman boxes, overfilled with mostly made in USA Craftsman tools, with me knowing pretty much what's in each drawer.

Now that I'm 81, I seldom use any of it...wrenching hurts an already sore & broken down body. Still hanging on to it all..."Might be handy someday" thinking, I guess.
