URY914 12-08-2024 02:35 PM

Anyone but Max.

WSH 12-08-2024 03:58 PM

Only 14 weeks ! same as the summer break....

stealthn 12-08-2024 09:14 PM

Well I don’t think it will top this season, but I sure hope it will. Lots of moves, changes and politics. Netflix must be splashing their pants over this season

For the first time in decades,
I won't be rooting for the red cars.

GH85Carrera 12-09-2024 05:01 AM

OK, tet's hear the predictions. Whoow will be the fastest car iin 2025? Will McLaren keep their lead?
Ferrari or Red Bull as runners up?

I will go the safe bet, McLaren out front. They have the same driver's lineup, and more money to spend on improvements.

I'd like to see someone else as champion.

I am interested to see how Red Bull do in 2025 . The internal turmoil has died down but Jos and Helmut can still stir the pot . First full year of Adrian Newey being away from the team . IF Sergio is replaced how does the 2nd driver stack up against Max . And how does becoming a father affect Max . A lot of moving parts there .

Can McLaren continue to rise ? It's one thing to improve to championship level it's another to maintain it . And I personally think the fight for team driver supremacy between Lando and Oscar will escalate . That could be good or bad . Just depends on how it is managed .

Can Mercedes manage a rookie to the top without major crash $$$ and provide a competitive chassis ? Can George handle being the team leader ?

Ferrari is a coin toss . Charles must feel like his team leadership is at risk . Will that motivate or break him ? Will the chassis fit the driving style of Lewis ? If it doesn't the move is a fail .

Mid pack- can someone step up and consistently fight for podiums ? I think all of us would love to see Alpine/Haas/Vcarb/Williams make a leap forward to really shake up the grid . A fairy tale story would be Carlos being competitive right out of the gate and continue to improve for a magical first season with Williams . It won't be long for the 2025 season to start . For me I would like less finger pointing and drama and more competitive racing . Time will tell .

But their wind tunnel time allocation will be reduced.

Also, McLaren don't have more money to spend as all teams are allowed to spend the same amount

But, they get a bigger piece of the pie from FOM, thereby reducing the need for outside money that they may otherwise be obligated to pay back or live up to, or do drastic things like sell off McLaren International property, only to have a lease back.

I'm looking forward to the conversation from Hamilton
when Ferrari totally screws the pooch in pit strategy
or tires.
Or any other number of poor decisions they've been known
for over the past few seasons.

One rule at Ferrari is that you are not supposed to
criticize Ferrari. Alonso learned that the hard way.
Hamilton will have to learn to bite his tongue.

This could be an interesting plot twist at Alpine . They are possibly signing Colapinto.

Williams have now negotiated Franco Colapinto deal that 'appeals greatly' to Alpine https://www.f1oversteer.com/news/williams-have-now-negotiated-franco-colapinto-deal-that-appeals-greatly-to-alpine/

What do you guys think of this potential end product for 2026 and beyond ?

So the battery providing more HP is much like the Indy Car push to pass feature. In Indy car that can only use it a certain amount before it is used up.

I'm really curious about the dynamic at Ferrari next year. And I also think Vasseur made a mistake - I mean how do you pass on a freed up Hamilton, I get it - but I think keeping Sainz would have been a stable thing for Ferrari and for them to go for the constructor's again... DEspite hiccups here and there those 2 got along, followed orders, and showed speed.

People are quick to say Hamilton will come with all his Mercedes experience that Vasseur can draw on, and they will listen to a 7 (8?) time WC, and he will play mind games and destroy Leclerc because we've seen he is quick but sometimes mentally fragile.. etc...

I am not so sure. Leclerc is the little prince at Ferrari, speaks italian, is loved by all there, and is quick AF. He was solid this season too, very few mistakes. It sure is gonna be a make or break year for him, he needs to at least match Lewis ! I genuinely have no idea which way it will go (re-energized Lewis, ageing lewis, unhappy Lewis?) but I'll be contrarian and bet on youth.

Lando for the title, Ferrari constructors, Leclerc just edging HAM on wins 3-2 (the rest Lando/Piastri, Max, one for Lawson, and a win from Ocon/Haas in the rain) ;-) LOL, pulled that out of my @$$
