what's your favorite pie. mine is Pecan pie.

if there was anything challenging over the holidays, it was not eating pie. my family oohhh-ing and Ahhhh-ing over a slice of pie with hand whipped cream.

my wife reminded me that I once said(boasted), "if I want to eat something decadent and not endorsed by my Dietician, I would make it"

pecans are inexpensive at Trader Joes!!! I made a pie. kinda therapeutic as well. making the dough, and stuff. the amount of sugar and BUTTER did give me pause. hahah..(same reason I dont eat Hollandaise sauce anymore - I made some!)

I love pecan pie. I grew up in El Paso and we are surrounded by pecan orchards in NM. I seem to remember them pronouncing it "PEE CAAN"

My wife this morning, "can you make a Strawberry Pie??!!"

"its December Honey - December"

Warm Marion berry pie with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream.

*You may have to come to Oregon to ever taste Marion berries. They don't travel.

Yes, my favorite is also pecan pie. And we've got a store up the road that sells really good pecan pies, lots of flavor, good texture/consistency, and sweet, but not crazy sweet.

Mine would be warm Apple with a scoop of homemade Vanilla ice cream on top.

Pecan and Pumpkin pie are not even on my list of something I want to eat.

Most all fruit pies are good.

Pecan for the win.
I made a Hoosier pie this Christmas and no one liked it. I have to admit it sucked.

This is SO seasonal. Springtime brings rhubarb. There is a requirement for frozen strawberries from the wife's garden from the previous year.
August is time for blueberry pie. No high bush, please, just your lowbush or 'wild' berries.
That is followed closely by pumpkin. Again the pumpkins come from her gardens . My job is to cut up the gourds and stew 'em.
Apple pie comes in from time to time, if she can get local Courtland or Gravenstines .
For variety there might be a lemon pie in there somewhere. The granddaughter likes to help separate the eggs and beat the whites for the meringue.
Just don't ask me to pick a favorite.

I think I just gained a pound.
Best

Strawberry pie, I'm sure that you could get some strawberries that would be imported from somewhere, Mexico, China, something. But they wouldn't have any flavor, and the pie would probably end up "meh" at best.

Nice, made your own "Pee-caan" pie, LOL.

At Thanksgiving my wife bought a caramel apple pie . For store bought it was quite good . Heat a slice in the microwave for 20 seconds then add one dollop of ice cream . Yum yum !

We also enjoy pecan and fruit pies , depends on the season and mood

I have been a fan of pecan (pee-con) pie since I was a wee lad. Used to get the tiny individual pecan pies from the Hostess day old store.

My new favorite, although, not sure there are any Baker’s Square restaurants around anymore was the pecan silk supreme. It had chocolate silk pie on top of that wonderful pecan goo.

Fruit pie all the way. Pecahn is just too sweet. Kinda like shoo-fly pie.
