"memecoin" crypto, PT Barnum must be proud - Hawk Tuah!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meme_coin

Quote:
A meme coin (also spelled memecoin) is a cryptocurrency that originated from an Internet meme or has some other humorous characteristic. It is often used interchangeably with the term shıtcoin, which typically refers to a cryptocurrency with little to no value, authenticity, or utility. It may be used in the broadest sense as a critique of the cryptocurrency market in its entirety—those based on particular memes such as "doge coins", celebrities like Coinye, and pump-and-dump schemes such as BitConnect—or it may be used to make cryptocurrency more accessible. The term is often dismissive, comparing the value or performances of those cryptocurrencies to that of mainstream ones. Supporters, on the other hand, observe that some memecoins have acquired social currency and high market capitalizations.
WTF?

This is the sort of thing where a cynical person might be tempted to think that the fleeced deserve it (or should just accept is as essentially being a "gofundme" sort of thing for the meme/folks that start it).

True story:

Sunday Fun Day going to the recycle place, errands, etc. when, I am in the right lane of a divided highway, when a car pulls up next to me at a stop light. Odd fuzzy Cheetah print steering wheel cover; I can't see the driver since I am in my Tundra.

Light turns green and off she goes: Two bumper stickers on the back, "Spit on That THANG!" and "Hawk Tuah".

This is how I know it was a she

I would not be surprised. Even before the crypto crap. She signed on with Jake Paul's marketing company before that. I'm not a devoute fan of hers.

I got a kick out of her as she seemed down to earth but not a big brain.

This crypto thing happened on December 4th. There are key players that knew how to do it and capitalized on her success and her naivety. She's guility by association, unfortunately.

Many say, if you invest in Hauk Tuah Girl you have everything coming to you that you got. It's aint like laddering CD's.

“Investing in” a fake currency created by a girl made famous for BJs, pretty much says it all doesn’t it?

Kind of answers the question "who's the sucker now?"

Agreed. She never seemed super bright.

I also suspect she was duped by the crypto guys.

Hopefully she manages to hang on to that money more than most lottery winners.

It was an extremely flaky investment in the first place. I guess if you were thick skinned enough to buy then bail before the day was out you would have done well - and good on you. But it needs to be money you are prepared to lose if you (probably) get it wrong.

Listen to her talk for 30 seconds (max). She as a dumb as a fence post. Zero sympathy for investors.
