I guess I'm a teacher now
In a casual discussion a few days ago I mentioned that I would like to tutor some math or science students. I was thinking high school math, physics - that sort of thing.
So I got my first student today. He's studying engineering at a local college and the class he was needed help in was .... Flight Dynamics!!! Holy crap! I haven't paid any attention to FD since I was in college 50 years ago. Fortunately it was really basic stuff. Elementary physics actually. I worked on helping him understand Bernoulli's principle. Nice that I was up to it, but it was a stretch. I kinda like this.

Nice! I’ll be honest, I don’t think I would have any business tutoring flight dynamics. That dusty corner of my brain is now long forgotten.

Right. The problem is, this guy is in no way prepared for this class. His grasp of physics is just too weak. The best thing for him is to drop the class. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I had to explain the difference between the weight of air and air pressure (which was surprisingly difficult).
