Tip of my hat to the mighty Altima for taking a blow from a concrete truck like that, and not compromising the passenger compartment .
So glad to hear I am not responsible for this . It was really weighing heavy on my mind for a few hours before I found out all the details .
I sometimes forget how important my job is . Its often just another car, another brake job, another muffler, another clutch etc, but I have someones safety, or life in my hands every day . Something as simple as forgetting to tighten a lug nut, or not making sure a hood is latched could end up a disaster .
Should I text him and let him know that this voids the warranty on the convertor ??
That is a scary photo Fred! I am very happy the kid was able to walk away with relatively minor injuries. He was very fortunate.

It also says something about you, in a very good way. You actually CARE about the kid and his father. Our world could use a little bit of love right now and you are part of the solution, brother. Sending a hug your way, David

Glad he's OK, but if he thinks he's sore a day after, tell him to get back to you in a week. That adrenaline rush will come back to haunt him I'm sure.

A crash that left a car in not much worse shape happened right in front of me. The driver wasn’t so lucky. I was trying to find a pulse on the woman who had been driving. I’m not a medic and I’m not well practiced at feeling the wrist pulse. I was trying to find a wrist pulse without any luck when a woman who said she was a nurse came up and felt the woman’s neck. She said, “She’s gone.” For some reason I said, “I think so too.”

Once saw a car which was t-boned when pulling out onto a busy street. Driver obviously gone from the door dent into the center of the vehicle.
Old Korean couple returning from church was my understanding.

In HS with friends a vehicle passed us quickly on the highway..our side.

In my older age I have a better understanding with the professionals who deal with these events every day.

The carotid is much easier to find being so much closer to the heart.
