Boxster 986 release cable for frunk

My 02 hood won’t open. Electric, making noise not releasing. The car has only been serviced at dealerships so I would expect them to put release back where it is supposed to be to be. Well I took off right fender liner and I can’t see it. First, where would it be? It’s not visable or I am just looking over. When I removed bumper a month ago, there was no wire floating around so I’m assuming it’s where it’s suppose to be.
Any help appreciated. Thanks

Thanks, one of those is mine. I forgot I posted.
I guess I am just wondering where h
The general vicinity of it would be. Inside side of light, outside side of light. Near light or lower.
I’m guessing they moved it though no records of them pulling bumpers though they cleaned radiators. They were dirty so I’m guessing there clean is vacuuming from out side.

I found cable, it won’t budge.
I dropped a plastic piece that holds the plastic trim under the hood in place. I wonder if it got stuck somewhere. Weird, it opened then it didn’t after I dropped it.

Got it, had wife push down on hood, I hit hood button on key and pulled cable a few times.

Glad you got it open.

One question, if you call your front trunk a frunk, do you call the rear trunk a rrunk?

No....it's called just a trunk.

Run the emergency release cable to the tow hook receiver in the front bumper.
Next time you will only have to pop off the cap on the bumper and give it a yank.

Buy a replacement part, the solenoid dos wear out. Worth the cost of the part to never have to deal with this again felt on my 996.

This all happened because when I took the bumper off to clean the radiators, I dropped one of the 4 final black plastic lock pieces. When I finally got the frunk open, sure enough it was nestled down in the latch. Funny thing was I was so proud not to have any left over pieces when I got to those final four pieces.

Thanks all for the support.
