Kind of a weird/funny FB marketplace experience

So last year during the summer I started looking for a truck cap/camper shell for my S10 pickup . After about a month or so I found one fairly local . The color didn't match my truck but was otherwise usable . So I bought it for $200.00 . I started sanding it down because I was going to paint it white to match my truck .

Well a few weeks go by and I find the exact same Leer cap on FB M and it's white ! I bought that one for $200.00 . I installed it and got busy with other things so I didn't end up painting the first cap . I put that cap on FB M two weeks ago and sold it this morning for ............... $200.00 . It's just funny how it all worked out . And exact same brand and model . I guess the stars aligned

Well that’s it. You are Even Steven.

Quick…have your wife take a 20 out of your wallet and throw it out a high window. Let us know how long it takes until you even up.

(From a show about nothing).

Let’s see this top !

I bought a camper top for my ram 2500 at the beginning of last year. Reasonably priced direct fitment caps are extremely difficult to find on the second hand market.

Ha! That reference was my first thought, too.

Here's a quick picture . What makes the story/odd even stranger is to my knowledge no company is making camper caps for the S10 anymore . So the used market is the only source .

If that was a square body I know someone who would be all over it when you decided to sell. My two nephews absolutely love those things. One has an absolute mint square body and the other just got done refurbishing one although he put a flatbed on his.

Cab this one has a 5.3 LS engine conversion, my plan is to hold onto her .

I remember.. I had a friend at a body shop where I worked in my teens that owned a square body with a 350 in it. I think he said it was a 350/350 (hp). He had it dropped with a custom paint job.

There is a guy at work that has a white square body S10. It has a tastefully done cowl hood and some C3 Corvette rally wheels on it, and it looks really nice. It sounds like it has a V8 in it, but I've never talked to the guy to confirm this.

They were available with a 4.3 V6 . With the right exhaust they sound great .

The Gen3 5.3 LS was good for 300 hp and 320 lb ft of torque give or take . For such a light chassis it's more than enough 😁 . I bet that square body with a 350 was a handful to drive at full throttle .

I'll be honest, I never saw him go WOT in it.
