Seem to me the 5th dimension can be any attribute that is not described by position or time.

It can be temperature, color, electric charge, hardness, opacity, odoriferousness, etc.

So you could define a thing by the x-y-z coordinates of the space it occupies, the time (default is present day but could be describing a thing as it existed in 12,000 BC), and that it is mostly black and brown, 98F, overall neutrally charged, mostly soft, fully opaque, very very smelly, etc. Maybe a Neanderthal.

Why do you have so little faith in humans? We are so incredibly capable that we have manipulated the world to enhance our abilities. Can't see ultraviolet? Make a camera system that does! Can't lift heavy things? Make a powered tool that does! Can't fly? Figure out like 10 different ways to fly!
The fact that we know of parts of the Universe around us that are invisible to us shows how amazing humanity is. The fact that we even know that (for example) ultraviolet light exists, and can then harness it is absolutely mindblowing. The fact that we have mapped the Universe, described it back and forth, defined, viewed and the manipulated the actual primordial building blocks of matter...

What happened to the 4th dimension? Do you guys all finally accept it?

Tabby is the 5th dimension. He quit birdparts and now hangs out there 24/7. Our lowly 3 dimensional universe is pedantic for him. A traveler both of time and space, he's floats the ether of dimensional possibility, finding thrift store bargains, all of them, simultaneously, as we speak. :D:D:D

I think you're onto something! One hits the floor and Poof! Gone.

Aren't they on your feets?

It's just time, what's not to believe/accept?

Socks enter the fifth dimension at 50% the rate of 10mm sockets. That's a fact.

So you're saying the dryer might be a portal? I could buy into that.

Shoulda looked there first. Now to that dimension thing….

I'm not saying dryer. But it's this one.

Using a foot lever to open the door even though you'll still have to bend over to take the clothes out.

There used to be so many quality engineers around that not only did we have Bell Labs and Werner Braun and General Motors and Lockheed but there was plenty of extra capacity to design useless **** like this!

1950's? FIFTH dimension? Coincidence?

Time isn't the 4th dimension. Time is time, it's a different animal.

We live in a 3 dimensional Universe that is wrapped upon itself in the 4th dimension (4 physical, orthogonal, spacial dimensions).

A balloon is a 2 dimensional universe wrapped around a third dimension. We are one step further along. 5th dimensions and above only exist in a few esoteric cosmologies.

We solve the 5th dimension in the future and send back a tesseract for us to realize it, then we use Morse Code to pass the data back through time.

Duh.

Some people call that other dimension Heaven, or Nirvana, or Paradise, or the enightenment, or peace, or even a glass of cool water on a hot day.

These guys have been to the 8th Dimension. We have The Fly, Robocop, Dr. Emmet Brown, Kurgan from The Highlander, Mantis...

It isnt wrong to model universe with time as 4th dimension. There’s other models that also work.

A lot of research I’ve done has been down conversion photoluminescense. It gets very complicated very quickly but it’s all theory. Up conversion photoluminescence being more interesting as you take a longer wavelength and converting it to a higher energy shorter wavelength photon. Essentially taking IR and turning it into visible or UV light. Why? Just theories, nothing is known 100%.

For how much we have done, there’s very little we actually know of science, the earth (including the ocean), and even our biological mechanisms. All theory. However it’s interesting that a bunch of weirdos from 100 years ago can lay out the basics of quantum mechanics and to this day have not been replaced. Schrödinger‘s equation is the basics for a lot of processes. So little we actually know.

There’s other constructs of mathematics that is applicable towards chemistry. We can theorize elements with n orbitals. Just on earth, we only get to play up to the f-orbitals….

Time is not a spacial dimension. It's an arrow, and shouldn't be confused with orthogonal planes. Just because someone called time the 4th dimension back in the 60s doesn't mean it is, because it's not.
