Yeah no Q. Hughes either, I’m hoping for a good game.
|
I had hopes that Boston would have had more class than Montreal but there was still some booing.
I hate to say it but with McAvoy & Quinn out, Matthews and the Tkachuk brothers playing injured; I think Canada has the edge. Without these wounded and missing players, USA would be the odds on favorite. Lets play! |
Canada has the early jump.
|
By the end of the Canadian anthem there were a lot of fans singing.
Not even close to the booing in Montreal. It’s been back and forth, good game so far! Thought Larkin had another one. |

Tied 2-2 at end of regulation. OT coming up!
OT rules...5 on 5 in 20 minute periods until a goal is scored. |
Wow, that was good hockey.
|
Congrats to Canada for the win. Final in OT 3-2 Canada.
Congrats to BOTH teams for a hell of a Finals game! |
Yeah, we needed to score on those golden opportunities, lost it by not finishing.
Matthew’s disappeared and the injuries hurt us I think. Great finish by McDavid. |
well done Canada!
|
Awesome game!
2 great teams battling to the end! |

Matthew’s and Marner each has 2 assists. Good game. Now, Go Leafs!!

The game we witnessed on Thurs. was hockey at some of its best. As we all most assuredly will agree, the game could have gone either way. Downside is from now on, regular season NHL games may take on the appearance or feel we're watching a few 'beer league' matches - until of course, the cup playoffs.
I'm also sure, most of us are looking ahead to the Milano Cortina 2026 Games for more "best-on-best" - a year from now - a looong wait between hockey fixes!! Take care Gents & Cheers JB |
Watching the Caps/Pens blowout I had to laugh at how the announcers gushed about how stellar Crosby played for Canada. Was there another player named Crosby in that series? Cidney hardly took any shots and didn't play center.
|
^ I too laughed at that. Besides that pas s on the PP in game 1 did he do anything?
|
I'd very much like to see matches like these to be played by college kids. And no more pros in the Olympics.
