Flipper35 well done sir ! I have a soft spot for Avions , my parents last travel trailer was a 26 ' Avion . Built like a tank with real wood birch cabinets . It was beautiful .
You have a lot of trailer there , I am guessing 31 ' to 34 ' . You can customize it to any way you want . I have a 1968 Avion truck camper that stalled during interior restoration . I hope to get back to it someday . Have fun with it you should start a restoration post . |
This one is a 34'. We would like to put a 12v compressor fridge and need to replace the water heater.
Biggest issue is the fan ducts are all crumbling so we either have to 3D print something or probably have to go to a 14" instead of 18" fan since these are not available anywhere. Trimming the inside would be easy, having to match the outside with an aluminum panel will be a pain. we have the couch for the space in the picture. Wife wants a work desk built at the very front since both of us can wfh. Not sure if we will get a regular hotspot with an antenna or just use a phone hot spot. Leaning towards a proper unit and run the dome antenna where the current tv antenna is. Had the brakes, bearings and shocks all gone through over the winter and 7 new tires. 12 shocks on that thing. It does pull pretty nice. |
My wife teases that "her" Avion cost less than "my" 16" cargo trailer. She is encroaching on that price though!

Are you going to pull that monster with an F150 Brent?

We added LED strips in place of the incandescent bulbs for the ambient light.

Oddly, the sale where we got the Avion 34W had an Avion truck camper as well. He must have liked the brand.

We rent this every year in northern spain for 4 weeks. A bit less than $100/night.
Last two years it was the french pyrenees. This year we are trying for the alp maritime and piedmont. Totally self contained so we sleep for free up in the mountains. Diesel motor and heater/hot water heater, solar, inverter, full kitchen and room for bicycles in the back. Not sure why these european layouts are not sold in the usa. Its a rebranded 22 ft promaster but narrow enough to squeak through little mountain towns. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1743864775.jpg |
